Guest guest
Every new years eve, we break out the champane, the fresh Italian bread... and the fresh garlic. It is a tradition with my family to toast the new year and then wrap a clove of garlic in the bread and eat it. It is to ward off germs and sickness for the new year to come. Does it work? well, I'm still here so I guess it dosn't hurt! (lol)As for our breath though, well that is a different matter.but, if we all stink together we don't notice the problem. Just thought I'd share, it's not too late to eat your garlic! but invite your family to do it with you as well- so they don't lock you outside because of (YOUR) bad breath. Oh yeah, it's also our tradition to go outside and break a dish at midnight and scream " HAPPY NEW YEAR! " at midnight on New Years Eve.... that one I have no explanation for? Anyway, whatever your traditions may be,Happy and Healthy new year to all! Michele
