Guest guest
Simple Wooden Christmas Tree You'll need:4 inch wooden circle-3/4 inch thick pine or any wood14 inches of 1/2 inch dowel24 inches of 1/4 inch dowelsawdrill with 1/4 and 1/2 inch bits Cut the 1/4 inch dowel into three pieces-6 inch, 8 inch and 10 inch lengths. Set aside. Take your 1/2 inch dowel and use the 1/4 inch drill bit to drill a hole every 3 1/4 inches along the dowel. In the center of the top of your wooden circle drill a hole with the 1/2 inch drill bit. Glue the 1/2 inch dowel (in which you've already drilled the holes) into the hole in the base. Take the three dowels and insert them into the three holes-placing the longest piece in the bottom and the shortest in the top hole. This forms your tree! the dowels don't really need sanding, but the base should be sanded to round the edges. You can stain the tree, paint it or leave it natural. Decorating ideas for your tree are endless. You can hang homemade cookie ornaments on the "branches" or try decorating it with gingham bows, raffia and dried orange slices for a neat country look. Tiny pine cones with red ribbons glued to the top combined with red gingham strips wrapped around the tree branches is pretty too. Try staining the tree and hanging antique ornaments combined with small red satin or velvet ribbons for an elegant look.
