Guest guest
Hi, I don't post very often, but wanted to comment on this. I work in a bank. I disagree with some of this. Don't destroy your ATM....get a debit card...and utilize your bank's online banking. Most systems are real time. So debit card purchases and bank transactions are shown immeadiately. Even though you should reconcile monthly, this gives you the ability to update and correct your checkbook whenever you want to...everyday even. And by all means, use the bill pay feature associated with online banking. You can set your payments to come out the same time every month, but you still have the ability to go in and change time or amount. This has really helped to keep me on time with my bills. Checks can be costly. So everytime you write a check, you are spending money. And soon, if not already, many places will be debiting immeadiately from your account with a check anyway. I hope this adds to what the article already said. Laura in northern MI
