Guest guest
I'm combining my reply 'cuz I'm lazy....but I have a suggestion & experience for both of these problems. first the cough, go to an allergist get tested for asthma. Many Many people have allergies or asthma & their only symptom is a persistent cough - my mom at age 72 just diagnoised with this - same deal cough at night forever, dry tickly cough, nothing touched it. Another possibility- an oral yeast infection could be the cause. I get these if I forget to rinse & spit (not swallow) after using the steroid inhaler. BUT others can get this easily by having an infection or cold & antibiotics can trigger it. It looks/feels like your tongue is swollen & white patchy yucky on it that doesn't go away if brushed w/toothpaste, but it can be lower in the throat & not on the tongue at all. Now, the headaches, as a chronic migraine person - tell them to lay off the anti-inflamitories OTC meds like advil; they will cause an ulcer in the lower intestine/colon...symptoms pain, blood either end. Yep, I got scoped in May 2004 & culprit was dime sized ulcer from advil. What to do - try a chiropracter - I know they get a bad rap sometimes & you may need to visit several before you find one you like, but I have found that if I keep my upper back in alignment, and the vertebrae at the base of the skull, I can avoid having frequent headaches. I also have food triggers like processed meats, aged cheese, wine, etc. I learned a new trigger purly by accident - I recently had new allergy skin tests & they included pork. I have never had a positive food allergy but pork it seems even if not processed (bacon, sausage) will trigger a headache in less than an hour after consumption. OK Sorry for getting windy, you just happen to toss one I had lived thru! Mary
Guest guest
Thanks for responding Mary! I recalled after I sent in my post that allergies may be the cause as well... I seem to notice it tends to get worse at certain times. As for the chiro... I swear by em! I had a bad car wreck in March and decided to go, as I could not turn my head more than 15%. In any case... going helps a MULTITUDE of issues! Thanks so much for bringing these to our attention! ~Garnet!
