Jasmine Oil

Jasmine is sometimes referred to as the " king of flower oils. "

Jasmine Oil is an expensive essence. To extract one pound of the

essential oil requires more then three million, one-day old flowers.

The oil is used as an aphrodisiac, as a massage oil or room fragrance

for uplifting moods. And it can be used as a skin softener. In

Europe, jasmine was thought to aid childbirth, because it could " warm

the womb " and facilitate birth. Dried jasmine flowers are a

traditional ingredient in charm bags to attract love. In ancient

times, burning jasmine leaves was believed to attract wealth, unless

this was done in the bedroom, where they were thought to induce

prophetic dreams.

Active Ingredients

Esters - Jasmine is rich in esters which make up about 70% of the

oil. They help with relaxation, calming the nervous system and has

anti-inflammatory along with antifungal properties.

Ketones - Contains low concentrations of the ketone jasmone, which

gives the oil a warm, spicy odor and potent therapeutic properties.

Warning - Do not use during pregnancy.
