Guest guest
Getting to Know Siberian Ginseng Siberian ginseng, Eleutherococcus senticosus, is the stuff of herbal legend. Long revered in Chinese medicine as a way to increase stamina (or jump-start the libido), Eleuthero is now commonly used to combat fatigue and lethargy. Its adaptogenic properties also may increase endurance and resistance to environmental stresses. Even though the causes of its vitality boosting effects are not well understood, the proper dose of ginseng can restore energy when you're feeling tired. Derived from the woody roots of the Siberian or spiny ginseng plant, ginseng has no known drug interactions. It's even safe for children when taken in half the adult dose. Usually available in tincture or capsule form, it's best to look for Siberian ginseng products with .08 percent standardization of eleutherosides. Most Siberian ginseng products are now labeled as " Eleuthero " rather than ginseng, to distinguish them from Asian ginseng. These products vary in concentration and potency, so pay extra attention to the instructions on the box, bottle, or insert.
