Guest guest Posted September 13, 2004 Report Share Posted September 13, 2004 MARINARA SAUCE Yield: 6 servings, 1/2 cup each INGREDIENTS - 2 teaspoons olive oil- 2 cloves garlic, minced- 1 small onion, diced- 1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, with their liquid- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste- 2 teaspoons sugar- 2 tablespoons minced fresh basil- Salt and pepper to taste DIRECTIONS In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat theoil. Add the garlic and onion and saute for 3 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Lowerthe heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes until thick.
