Guest guest
; ) Okay, okay. I'm just barely starting out making my own body products and am basically using other peoples' recipes and tweaking them a little, but here are the two that I did over the long weekend: Aphrodisia Massage Oil 4 oz. jojoba 14 drops sandalwood eo 12 drops rosewood eo 10 drops ylang ylang eo 3 drops patchouli eo Mix together and there ya go! (I'm not too wild about the smell of the ylang ylang - at least I think it's the ylang ylang I'm smelling - it's a combo of minty & medicinal.) But after it sat on the skin for a bit, the top note (I may be talkin' out my butt here) seemed to disperse, leaving a much mellower scent. Midnight Magic Bath Salts 1/2 cup epsom salt 1/2 cup sea salt 1/4 cup baking soda 5 drops patchouli eo 5 drops lavender eo 3 drops vanilla oil 2 drops cedarwood oil Mix together with fingers as the oils just kind of sit there in clumps. I also colored mine - optional. I was going for a purple. Unfortunately, I didn't write down exactly what I used for food coloring. I know it was a combo of red & blue - mostly red. I just added them bit by bit until I was more or less satisfied. It came out a darkish lavender color. I read somewhere that you don't want to go for anything vibrant as it can discolor the skin in the bath, as well as the tub, etc. This is pretty strongly scented at first. I haven't tried it myself yet. Gave most of it as a gift.
