Guest guest
LOTIONS & CREAMS Another way to nurture yourself is to create soothing and healing lotions and moisturizing creams. A simple way to do this is to buy a fragrance-free lotion or cream (available at health food stores) and add 20 drops of essential oils per ounce of the product. If your skin is especially dry, add 20 drops of essential oil per ounce of a base oil such Young Living V-6 Vegetable Mixing Oil, a perfect blend of organic vegetable oils including sesame seed, grapeseed, sweet almond, wheat germ, sunflower and vitamin E. After stepping out of the bath or shower, apply the skin oil to wet skin and gently rub. The water combined with the oil deeply moisturizes dry skin. Oily skin responds to Bergamot, Clary Sage, Cypress, Jasmine, Lavender, Lemon, Orange and Ylang Ylang For dry skin use Rosewood, Sandalwood, Patchouly (good for wrinkles), Rose Geranium, Jasmine, Lavender, Chamomile (inflamed skin) and Davana (chapped skin), and the blend called Gentle Baby Sensitive skin loves German Chamomile, Rose Geranium, Jasmine and Lavender For cellulite use Grapefruit (dissolves), Cypress, Rosewood, Cedarwood, Tangerine (dissolves), Basil, Juniper, Lemon, Orange, Patchouly, Rosemary, Sage or Fennel
