Guest guest Posted July 26, 2004 Report Share Posted July 26, 2004 Vanilla Ice Cream With Sautéed Pears Recipe By : Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:10 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbs. brown sugar 4 ripe firm pears -- cored and sliced lengthwise 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 3 tablespoons lime juice 2 cups vanilla ice cream Melt butter with brown sugar in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium heat. Sauté pears and cinnamon 4-5 minutes or until pears begin to soften. Stir in lime juice. When liquid starts to simmer, remove from heat. Serve with ice cream. Per serving: calories 296, fat 10.5g, 30% calories from fat, cholesterol 37mg, protein 3.1g, carbohydrates 51.3g, fiber 5.0g, sugar 45.5g, sodium 61mg, diet points 6.3.
