Guest guest Posted July 1, 2004 Report Share Posted July 1, 2004 Rose Syrup (old English recipe) 1 dozen red roses4 cups water4 cups honey Discard large outer rose petals, de-stemBoil inner petals of roses for thirty minutesStrain out petals, discard petals, keep waterMix water with honey, boil for thirty minutesPlace in glass jar and seal tightly, wrap pink ribbon two or three times around neck and tie in a bow.
