Hi Diana - I am sorry to hear about your day. Here is my thought on your co-worker. Some people feel so horrible about themselves that they look for someone (usually someone really nice like you), and they lash out because it makes them feel better about themselves - because now someone else is upset, not just them.

I work with a girl like that - and here is what I did when she decided I should be her target. The first time - I just ignored her - blowing it off as a bad day for her. But I noticed she bossed the other girls around - and she felt, like your co-worker, that she should be boss. The second time she tried it on me, I myself was having a fight with the computer - and I was bound and determined to win, so when she thought she would pass on boss like behavior to me, I told her what I thought, I am normally very respectful as to other people's feelings, but in her case she needed to be told and I happened to be in just such a mood. Needless to say the room was really quiet that night, but she never has pushed her weight around me since then.

I don't know if it will work - but you know what - it is time that mean people get put in their place, they can make life horrible for those around them.

Of course Diana, if you don't want to confront her - then I would just ignore her ignorance and be thankful you are not like her! When she is being miserable around you - take a deep breath - put your hand on her hand and tell her if she needs someone to talk to about her bad day, you would be more than happy to listen. This also makes them stop and realize that they are being mean - and sometimes that is also enough to stop them.

Sending you ****hugs (and lots of them)**** - if you need to keep venting - just let me know - I will be more than happy to listen!

Blessings

Thank you for the advise Donna

I am going to do that. Just ignore her, and not let her get to me. I

am a bigger person if I do that.

I feel much better now! (she's gone of course) :)
