Guest guest Posted June 8, 2004 Report Share Posted June 8, 2004 Navajo Sage Soap ( super size batch) Ingredients: 113 ounces lard 68 ounces crisco 98 ounces coconut oil 48 ounces olive oil 16 ounces soybean oil 48 ounces lye 120 ounces rain or distilled water 2 ounce dry sage and rosemary 1 ounce essential oil mix of sage, rosemary and lemon grass Instructions: Grease the molds you wish to use and place to the side. Infuse oils with sage and rosemary by heating them together till quite warm. Allow this mixture to sit till cooled to 120-125 degrees. Pour the oil/fat mixture into the mixing bucket. Add lye solution slowly and steadily while the mixer is turning. At thin trace add essential oils. Stir in well. Pour into molds and cover thoroughly. Allow to cool 48 hours or more.
