Guest guest
Grilled Pork in Pita Relax and enjoy the long weekend ahead with this sure-to-please outdoor favorite. Prep/Cook Time: 25 min. 3/4 cup Pace Picante Sauce 1/2 cup plain yogurt 1 tsp. lime juice 1/4 tsp. garlic powder OR 2 cloves garlic, minced 4 boneless pork chops, 3/4 " thick 6 pita breads (6 " ), warmed 1 cup shredded lettuce 1 green onion, sliced Directions: MIX 3 tbsp. picante sauce, yogurt and lime juice. Cover and refrigerate. MIX remaining picante sauce and garlic powder. Grill pork chops 15 min. or until chops are done, turning and brushing often with picante sauce mixture. Discard remaining picante sauce mixture. SLICE pork into thin strips and place down center of each pita. Top with yogurt mixture, lettuce and onion. Fold pita around filling. Serves 6. To warm pita breads, wrap in a plain paper towel. Microwave on HIGH 1 min. or until warm. Kitchen Clip: Instead of purchasing boneless pork chops, you can cut 1 lb. boneless pork roast into 3/4 " chops to use in this recipe.
