Guest guest Posted May 27, 2004 Report Share Posted May 27, 2004 ---- ---------- LAVENDER AND MINT PUNCH 1 1/2 tablespoons dried English lavender (if you are buying this make sure it's the edible type) 1 1/2 cups boiling water 1 cup brewed tea 4 cups ginger ale, chilled 1 cup dark grape juice, chilled 1/3 cup loosely packed and finely shredded mint leaves 1 1/2 tablespoons super fine sugar Ice cubes to serve Place the lavender in a large heatproof jug and pour over the boiling water. Set aside for 5 minutes. Strain into a large serving bowl and discard the lavender (or add it to your bath water later). Add the tea and set aside for 10 minutes to cool. (It can be made ahead to this stage and refrigerated). Add the ginger ale, grape juice, mint and sugar and stir until well combined. Add ice cubes and serve immediately.
