When I am doing energy healing work (which usually includes crystals and Reiki), I will wear and amethyst crystal (a special one that I reserve for such things) and also use amethyst massage wands. Amethyst is more effective for me then other 3rd eye crystals/stones. Blessings to your eve all. I find I have a high degree of nervous energy and amethyst helps with this, as does my turquoise. Turquoise is not typically a 'third-eye' stone but I find it does help relax and open up my psychic centers. I typically have very strong third-eye activity with many visions, clairaudient experiences, but right now I am caught up with throat chakra issues. Because of this imbalance of expression, my third eye activity is over active and out of control. One thing I find that amethyst does when one is centered is that it allows the user to receive and project healing energy.
