Chrysoberyl is toxic, isn't it a member of the copper family? Please be careful with it. I learned a scary lesson w/my puppy Walter. He is a scent hound and when he smells something (anything, including my digital voice recorder that is critical to me getting things done), he eats it without hesitation! I always (used to anyway) carry stones in my pocket. Then he ate a hole in my jean pocket while attempting to find out what was in there. So then I decided I would put them in the little plastic packages. NOT! He got them out of my pocket and began chewing on Azurite, a DEFINITE toxin. There were some teeth holes poked through the plastic and I freaked out of course. I called the vet and he told me to bring him in for a blood test. He actually crushed the rocks (another prized possession) but didn't eat any of the pieces as far as I could tell, but he likely ingested some of the dust. Anyway, I caught him before it was too bad, but the blood tests came out ok... toxic stones impact the liver. So please be careful because some dogs understand about crystals and others don't. Katie (my other puppy) is actually a dog wizardess! She is. She will sit and gaze or sleep on a crystal for hours, but most won't. Just be careful... please! Love Vicki, Walter and Katie!
