I am really confused now because my primary source of reference was " Crystal Healing for Animals " by Martin J Scott and Gael Mariani. They are out of the UK but they definitely write this, and I quote: Add approximately 30-50% brandy to the bottle or bottles to act as a preservative (for the water rather than for the energy). These bottles are now your mother essence. To make a stock bottle, add 2 drops of mother essence to a dropper bottle filled with brandy. The stock bottle, so-called, is the form in which you would ormally buy an essence fro a supplier. Drops can be taken from the stock bottle or indeed the mother essence bottle, but it is possible to dilute the essence another stage to make a treatment bottle. Simply add 2 drops from the stock bottle into a further bottle containing approximately 70% spring water and 30% brandy! So now what? I have the mother essence in the water and am waiting until I'm sure of either it being okay or not okay to follow these directions. I'm still clouded because these people are " so called " international eperts in this field. They seem to be qualified and they seem to have a lot of experience. LOL... I don't know what to do. Alcohol can be toxic to pets and depending on what the alcohol is made of can have a double whammy effect .... such as wine, as grapes and raisins are also poisonous to dogs (not sure about cats). So, in this instance, Vicky would need to contact her vet for a better medical answer. Blessings to your eve all. I make plant essences and never use alcohol in them, you do have to make them more often but I have never found that to be a problem. The alcohol is just a preservative anyway. My son's dog sadie is affected by Addison's Disease and has been told that there are no holistic treatments. Do you know of any?? I was just studying this in the last 6 months and was shocked at how many 'harmless' common day things get in the way of herbal and Ayruvedic treatments. Cushing's affects the adrenal glands the two chakras that relate to adrenals are: Root and sometimes the solar plexus. You may want to investigate if and why these two chakras are blocked. My son would be unlikely to use crystals and they are not living close by, so I can do little more than pass on info that those responding have sent. Mahalo to all for concern and advice.
