Guest guest
Audubon has a field guide (book) of North American Rocks and Minerals (they may have ones for other parts of the world also but that I can't say for certain). This is your scientific sort of book with picture plates. The pictures are actually broken down by color of the rock/mineral/crystal. So, you might try starting your search by color of said crystal. If you have a digital camera, you could also take pictures and post them someplace online and ask folks if they can help you ID them. In some cases it is difficult to tell from a picture what something is, in other cases it is quite easy. Hope this helps. Blessings to your eve all. Guest guest
I need advice on the serious side: I have collected over the years, probably a couple hundred of Crystals, Minerals and Rocks. The ones that WERE labeled have LOST their labels. I need to, maybe using books or the Internet?) find a way to identify them. How can I do this WITHOUT taking weeks to identify just one? How can I be accurate:? Would you suggest a method or system of Identifying these, PLEASE? (p.s.) I have no local rock shop, nor anyone who knows about rock/mineral identification.) Thank you Everyone, Jackie
