Guest guest
I would appreciate some advice on using crystals on children. I have a 12 year old coming to me with abandonment issues of some years standing after the car she was in was stolen by drug addicts. I want to work gently as she is sensitive and wonder if anyone has had a similar type of case and what worked for them. Thanks. Guest guest
I am a counselor. I have a large, shallow wooden bowl in my office with about 50 small crystals in it, all assorted. My clients can always take one stone home if they wish. It is amazing what the children choose. My last two " little ones " took lapis (he has anxiety issues) and rose quartz (tough family issues). The children always seem to choose stones that will assist them in healing and growing. Some of my adult clients also take a " stone " home, though most of them are not as open to doing so. All of the crystals in the bowl were cleansed and cleared, and " volunteered " to go home with someone if they needed the stone. Some of my crystals were adamant about NOT volunteering, so they stay at home with me.

Guest guest
What an excellent idea! Sounds wonderful and also just the colours of the bowlful of crystals are healing in themselves! So a doubly good idea! X Cheryl x Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device " cindy_midcalf " <cindy_midcalf Tue, 24 Nov 2009 15:12:08 [CrystalHW] Re: Crystals for Children I am a counselor. Guest guest
Hi Cindy, I know what you mean about children. I am a crystal healer and Reiki Master teacher and with the help of my Grandsons school am running an experiment to see who having crystals in the classroom effect the children. We have been doing this all term and the children are allowed to take a crystal home to keep if they wish. There have been a few taken and kept but a lot are returned and exchanged for others, some of the children just have them in the classroom I have not checked with the teacher about any changes in the classroom as I wanted to wait until the end of term to see, but I do reading at the school and notice that the children are constantly playing with the crystals and have them on the desks next to them while they work. These are 6-9 year olds. I will tell you about my results at the end of the term I have worked with children a lot over the years and I agree that they instinctively know which crystals they need, my Grandson even chooses crystals for the rest of his family and even me at times. He will go to the cabinet take out a crystal and say so and so needs this one and he is right every time. He is 9 by the way and has been doing this since he was about two. Children have a natural connection to the crystals and just accept what they do without question. I have used crystals with children for things like learning difficulties, behavioural problems. Stuttering, children who are being bullied to name just a few, even had one kid ask for something to make him a better kick. I just wish that adults would be as opened as the kids are but that will come in time. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me at anytime. Guest guest
Thank you Cindy. I did have the same thought as just by 'chance' I bought a bag of mixed stones from the wholsesaler last week. I have put them in a bowl for my young subject to chose one. I did have the same thought as you re: which stone would be chosen and why. Nice to have it confirmed by your experience.
