On a physical level YES. Crystals such as Selenite which are very soft on

the MOHs hardness scale do not fair well if kept/carried in a medicine

bag/pocket/pouch with other stones unless it is wrapped in something soft

(cotton, silk, etc.). The softness of the crystal against the hardness of other

crystals rubbing against it can cause scratching and chipping/flaking.

I would not say that any stones/crystals really need protection from one

another on an energetic level. This would be more how you personally feel

things when various crystal combinations are put together. I love Amethyst and

I really like Lapiz as well. Both are very strong 3rd eye stones. If I

work with them together, I usually get a headache. So, for me in that fashion

the stones don't work well together but it is more ME needing the

" protection " from those 2 stones being together then them actually being

together. I

am sure there are others out there who love the combination and it makes

them feel great!

Hope this wasn't too confusing in how I worded it ... lol

Blessings to your eve all.

Now that's an interesting question! Unfortunately I don't know the answer but

will be waiting with baited breath!
