Guest guest
Crystal gazing creates art http://www.canada.com/Crystal+gazing+creates/1960727/story.html Ever looked into a crystal? That's exactly what local photographer Lee Simmons did and he was so captivated by what he found - it's become his life's focus. Using a specialty macro lens, Lee focuses on the bubbles, fractures and patterns of light present within the crystals and has created a unique series of abstract photographs and a business called " The Secret World of Crystals " . The images are finding homes across Canada and the U.S. and when asked - How people describe these images Lee explained, " Exploring the fascinating universe within these crystal images transports viewers on a journey of exploration and discovery, with the feelings often described as 'inspirational'. Each person finds their own interpretation of the shapes and forms within each image " . The public is invited to attend a free interactive evening of music, discovery and exploration as " The Secret World of Crystals " officially launches its new DVD at Oceans Resort, Campbell River on Friday, September 11 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. This free interactive event promises to be a fun fusion of art and entertainment combining the visionary photography from " The Secret World of Crystals " with the healing tones of crystal singing bowls and the inspired keyboard instrumentals of sound healing artist Mikeoula. Coffee and Tea will be served Further information can be found at www.thesecretworldofcrystals.com http://www.thesecretworldofcrystals.com/ See the galleries.
