Guest guest
Hi all, I have a crystal that truly puzzles me. I hope you guys can shed some light on this issue. I bought a rhodochrosite crystal pendant about 6 months ago. The first time I wore it I ended up taking it off because I felt its energy was overwhelming me. I was actually experiencing palpitations. I left it sitting around for a few months and picked it up again recently. I cleansed it, charged it, and put it on (over my heart) and I immediately felt the same type of feeling, but just not that intense. It's so difficult to describe...I feel a somewhat 'burning' sensation in my heart chakra. It's not painful...just uncomfortable. For some reason, I felt the need to continue wearing it. The feeling subsided somewhat after a few hours, but still felt 'heavy'. I have never experienced this before with any other crystal. Like I said, I feel the need to wear it, but don't know what this means. Has anyone had similar experiences with this crystal? Thanks, Ana
Guest guest
One of the effects of this stone, although little known is that it accesses your karmic energies. It is a wonderful stone to draw loving vibrations to you but it also has other powerful effects. It may be possible that this stone was helping to access some unresolved energies and traumas from a past life or lives, possibly involving your heart chakra. Rhodochrosite is a highly transformational stone and sometimes this aspect can be so intense that it is difficult to wear. I made a rhodochrosite necklace for myself, and I love it - but there are times when the energy is a bit to heavy, so I don't wear it that often. Actually this energy is being released from your heart chakra and is normally not because of the stone itself. -Charlene anamarionita Aug 30, 2009 5:23 PM [CrystalHW] Rhodochrosite Question Hi all, I have a crystal that truly puzzles me. Guest guest
Interesting your talking about how powerful rhodochrosite is.... i used it in a reiki session awhile back and it was a very small stone and it was placed on my heart chakra on my back and when she moved her hands to that area, w/ the crystal there, i had a very strange experience.... i just all of the sudden had a feeling of just falling down a deep dark hole and it felt like the massage table caught me almost and it wasn't until she moved from that area that the feeling stopped.... aside from that rhodochrosite experience i've experienced similiar feelings with tigers eye.... sometimes when it's in the palm of my hand when meditating i will have to switch hands because the energy is so strong with that crystal that it actually hurts my hand... and i've also experienced that w/ tigers eye when i've had it on my third eye.... is it just that some crystals vibrate stronger than others or is it when a crystal is working on areas that really deeply affect us that we feel their energy more strongly??? Guest guest
Hi Charlene and Kelly, Charlene, I think you are right on! I've been thinking a lot about what you said and it makes a lot of sense. As far as past lives are concerned, you are right - but in a figurative sense. I've had my heart broken really bad a few years ago and I locked up my heart chakra so I would never feel that way again. So, in a way, the heartbreak does seem like something from a past life, because I convinced myself to lock it up and forget about it. It's funny how the feeling that the crysal brought up felt familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it - it felt like total heartbreak. How strange! I guess the crystal is bringing up feelings that I didn't want to deal with....this is why it feels so uncomfortable. Is there any other crystal I can wear with it that will keep me feeling safe and grounded so I can deal with this emotion once and for all? Kelly, I can definitely relate to what you're saying. With me, the 'deep hole' that you described related to sadness. I felt that way when I had my heart broken. And, interestingly, I feel very strong energy from Tiger's Eye as well. I think it is about us, not the crystals though. I guess this is why different people have different reactions to the same crystal. Thanks for your comments - I appreciate your help! Guest guest
Hi Ana, In my opinion, Rose quartz is a great stone to use for heartbreak... one that helps your heart open up healing energies so that you can better be open to love when the time is right. It doesn't do us any good to find the best love in the world if our hearts aren't ready and open to it. Universal love knows this though and usually won't send us this love until we are ready and open to receive it. For self-healing, rose quartz has a great gentle energy. You might find a small rose quartz heart pendant to remind you that your heart needs to heal and to love yourself and to reconnect with those pure healing energies. Rhodonite is also very healing and grounding and is especially useful after a recent heartbreak. Rhodonite with bring balancing energies into your heart chakra. If there was any type of mental or verbal abuse in your past relationship, pink kunzite can be helpful in ameliorating this. As far as the karmic issues go, sometimes when something happens that reminds of a past experience that we may have repressed, the feelings can be especially painful and sometimes even something we aren't really prepared for. -Charlene ANA Aug 31, 2009 7:57 PM Re: [CrystalHW] Rhodochrosite Question Hi Charlene and Kelly, Charlene, I think you are right on! Guest guest
Hi Ana, If you've closed your heart Chakra, do you find that it is still open enough so that you may feel love for others or is it completely and cautiously closed all the way? Also, if all you're other Chakras are open, do you find that having one that is closed so tight affects the other Chakras in any way? Would this one closed Chakra stop your Kundalini from rising all the way? I too have shut down a part of this Chakra & I wonder if we were to open it and go through the hard part of dealing with the sorrows and agony---if we could get past this....I just wonder if we might not feel a new sense of freedom. I'm dealing with this issue so I can really relate. You are not alone, my sister.. Guest guest
Hi Jackie, Thanks for writing. I appreciate your kind words. To answer your first question, I don't think that any chakra can be completely closed (only in death). Let's take the heart chakra for example. Although mine may be more closed than my other chakras, I don't think it is completely closed for one simple reason - I am pursuing crystal healing as a way to heal myself...so I guess I care about myself that much. A lot of people go around saying that certain people don't love themselves - the addict (although they love themselves enough to take drugs in order to escape reality in order to protect themselves), the anorexic (although in their minds they try to achieve a perfect image because they love themselves and want to look 'good'), Michael Jackson (although he loved himself enough to give himself what he wanted - a different skin color), etc, etc. I think that my heart chakra is closed off in a specific area - romantic relationships...the kind that have you feeling like you're on a roller coaster or floating on cloud 99. I do feel that when one chakra is blocked it affects the others. For example, at the beginning of my crazy relationship, I know now that I went about it the wrong way. My heart chakra was so open it was ridiculuous (and my sacral chakra was having a party as well!), yet my base and solar were underdeveloped. That led to the potential demise of the relationship and also my self-proclaimed heartbreak. I think that the first 3 chakras are the most important and without their healthy functioning, relationships are bound to head for heartbreak. As a matter of fact, I was told that I should work on the first 3 before I even consider opening the heart. The person explained to me that the heart 'just loves'. It doesn't know how to reason or how to do anything else but love. If the solar plexus (independence, assertion, self-esteem) is not healthy, there is a chance that the other person can wipe their feet on you and you will continue staying in the relationship, which would detrimentally affect the solar plexus even more. There is a book about this concept called 'The Mastery of Love' by Don Miguel Ruiz. If you like to read, I would definitely recommend this book! I really don't know much about the kundalini or how it works. I hope someone else can provide the answer to that one. But I do know one thing...when working with crystals for heartbreak, be careful when using rhodonite. Let me tell you!! That crystal is no joke. I programmed mine to release all hurt from the past and I swear to you...the 'heartbreaker' called me (after not speaking to him for more than 3 years and changing all of my contact information). It was a healing experience because I realized that I didn't want him anymore, but I was not prepared for that phone call. So, moral of the story...be ready to get what you ask your crystal for! As far as letting it all go...definitely agree with you! I'm working on learning acceptance (with the help of something called Emotional Freedom Technique, which is a life-saver and of course...my crystals). I'm tired of being unhappy and ready to let go of all my baggage! Hope we can keep in touch...I would love to hear about your progress. Hopefully we can guide each other towards some brighter days! My rose quartz decided to come out of hiding last night, so I will be using it on a regular basis from now on (...if it decides to stick around!). -Charlene anamarionita Aug 30, 2009 5:23 PM CrystalHealing- workshop [CrystalHW] Rhodochrosite Question Hi all, I have a crystal that truly puzzles me. Thanks, Ana

I think that my heart chakra is closed off in a specific area - romantic relationships. ..the kind that have you feeling like you're on a roller coaster or floating on cloud 99. I programmed mine to release all hurt from the past and I swear to you...the 'heartbreaker' called me (after not speaking to him for more than 3 years and changing all of my contact information) . Guest guest
Carolyn Myss writes an excellent book all about each chakra and the emotional programming and problems that can exist in each one 'Anatomy of the Spirit' it has really opened my eyes to some problems i was having in my throat area... as related to divine will and the ability to surrender to it. It really is an excellent book, goes into depth about the sacral and heart chakras (amongst all the rest) and the different types of mantras to help heal those areas and get them back into working order. Thanks, Ana
