Please help me work out why I had to have this crystal!

I love crystals but have no training at all. My main focus at the moment is

psychic development, but I'm also trying to develop intuition in relation to

crystals.

On holiday in Iceland last week, I stumbled upon a crystal shop. Just in case,

I asked for guidance in choosing a crystal that was right for me before entering

the shop. I was drawn to one particular stone(by this I mean that as I hovered

my hand over the crystals, my hand was sucked in towards it quite strongly! I

checked this feeling a few times and was in no doubt that this crystal was

calling me). Unusually for Iceland, the lady didn't speak any English, so

couldn't explain what it was. She said something that sounded like Kalcit and

Pirit, so I assume the crystal is calcite and pyrite. It is a soft pinky colour

with gold flecks, so this figures. It isn't polished,and looks a bit like

except the calcite (if it is indeed calcite) has more of a texture and form of a

desert rose like this one:

I've tried to get a picture of it but can't work out how to get the focus right.

If it is mangano caclite and pyrite, what are the composite qualities that drew

me in?

What are its properties in this combination?

How can I work with this lovely stone?

 

I'd really appreciate any help or insights that you have.
