The stone also helps you speak your truth and protect yourself from pain and cruelty. All in all there's probably a reason you are supposed to be telepathically opening yourself up to guidance. Interesting you post this because w/in the last week i've had similiar experiences.... i've been drawn to flourite... basically someone appeared on my path and encouraged me to use the stone to help with decisions, she had actually been through similiar experiences as me w/ relationships.....
