I have recieved an email from someone called gerald@classic (something or

other,) with a subject line of " Virus Found in message " Your details "

I am afraid to open it since i'm not sure of its origin and it might be a

ruse to open something to actually give me a virus. Anyone know anything

about

it?

PS, I have Norton and AVG virus detection and think they would catch it if i

did have a virus. ANd i NEVER open anything suspicious from anyone, especially

if i don't recognize the addy! Yours and His, Deonia

Dear Ylva, Thank you. Can you tell me how to reach Sunrose Aromatics? I

had a list one time of a lot of places but it may be on my old computer.

Thanks John!

No wonder I couldn't find anything. The name was misspelled on my receipt.

I have another question. I bought a handful of tumbled stones at the New Age

fair from a vendor that I trust and I have purchased from in the past.

Yesterday was finally a sunny day here so I decided to do a bit of crystal

cleaning. In ran all of my crystals and stones under water. We have a very

deep well, the water is wonderful and cold from it. Then I laid all of them out

in the sun on a towel and smudged.

After a few hours, I brought everything in to put them all back in their places.

I have upstairs and downstairs crystals. Anyway, I had just bought a second

Chrysocolla. When I started to put it away, I didn't recognize it. It now

looks more like an Amazonite-a light green instead of the teal color. I'm

wondering if it's a fake that had been dyed and my water treatment washed some

of the dye off? I notice too that the highest concentration of color is in the

cracks, just like if you get dye on your fingers and it will stain around your

fingernails. Have you ever seen Chrysocolla in light green?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Simply.. No. Chyrsoprase yes,, Chrysocolla No. There

are stones that are sometimes dyed.... Howlite is often

dyed to look like other stones..As well as Agate is dyed

to get those awful Chartreuse and Purple colors...

Hiyas Debi,

Here's what I am thinking, but I could be wrong on this. Chrysocolla is a

copper based crystal and thus it could have had a chemical reaction to the water

among other things that changed the colour from what it was to what it is now.

Anyhow, just a thought. Take care, hugs, namaste, MP, ah'o,

Is there THAT MUCH SHADINESS going within the Crystal Selling Community?  I've

always

just looked at what the venders were selling and trusted whatever something

looked like or

was labeled.  What I've been reading here is shocking!  That kind of scamming &

cheating consumers.  Is it that prevalent?  I always have gotten the feeling

that most people who

are selling the Crystals don't have love or appreciation or even real interest

in the Crystals

for what they are. When around these type of people, the fact that they are even

physically

handling them just sickens me.  It seems almost sacreligeous.   Jackie

Jackie,

It depends on what you call " That much " . Yes.. there is some and even people

like me get taken in once in a while. Yep.. I admit it, I have been

fooled. This is

why it is so important to work with people you trust and will stand

behind what

you buy. It is also that there are a lot of people that are selling

crystals and THINK

they know what they are doing and they don't. Those are the folks who make

it dangerous for the newbies... and they sound like the know what they

are talking about.. and they even believe themselves. :-) It is that old

adage that a little bit of knowledge can be very dangerous.

This is why I will never tell someone.. " Oh.. you need this crystal! "

Heck.. I don't

know what is best for you. I will help someone find the crystal for them

but never

will I tell someone that they need something without asking for my help

first. And even

then I try to get them to choose the crystal themselves.. their higher

self knows the answer!

I offer to help people when they are buying something from someone

else... especially

on ebay. I saw a chinese dealer who listed a celestite sphere... when it

was a Blue Calcite. I

emailed them to ask if they knew what the crystal was and they didn't

care... just said

that the customer gets the piece that is shown and they felt that was

good enough.

Anyway... there are some great people in our business and of course like

any business

there are a few stinkers.

In gratitude,

John

Hi Lynn..

I suppose that is possible. But I bought another Chrysocolla from the same

vendor a couple of months ago and that one did not change. I put ALL of my

stones and crystals through the cleaning and only that one had a reaction.

I trust the vendors, but who knows about their suppliers.

Thanks Debi
