I haven't posted in a VERY long time. I volunteer at a children's hospital on a hematology/oncology unit. I am planning to set up a reiki program for patients and families. does anyone have any suggestions for working with children ages birth to 21? Guest guest
explain how it works to them show them how they can play with their own energies and make it intriguing and involve them all and it will make it go more smoothly I have helped people play with their energy fields I explain reike and how the body functions on different energy flows, I also explain a little on research that has been done on energy work. I explain that energy work is more than just rubbing your feet on a carpet and zatting someone with the shock. I tell them they can play with their own fields and usually that get a strange look or a yea right. I have found that having a good strong set of magnets helps. First I have them clap their hands together and then rub their hands together in a circle for a minute or so and then have them pull their hands palms facing each other " about the width of their body " apart and then tell thyem to slowly move them to gether and focus on how a pair of magnets turned the wrong way react when you bring them together, how they will feel a resistance like the magnets and you can go forward and back to feel the resistance and sometimes it takes a few time. I bring out the magnets and allow them to feel that resistance and then have them do it again and it becomes easier to feel. I have played energyball with children to and have them figure out what color someone has placed on it or what temperature it is and throw the energy balls back and forth. some people are much more sensitive to this and some peoples fields will be huge and some are small and squish. playing with the magnets help to understand what their energy field will feel like and what their looking for. when their young the entire world is possible and they havent had years of people telling them you cant it wont and so on, they are more open to the energies. a friend of mine used another excersize using clay a strait pin and a straw ( you create a bowl of clay and place it upside down and attach the pin tip into the center of the straw and attach the head to the bottom of the clay bowl and focus energy through your hands to spin the straw one way or another.)r he is a martial arts instructor, and his camp was called the jedi camp. He had the kids so enthralled and open to possibilities a couple kids showed great talent doing this and when done asked so when do we learn to make things fly to us. He just said that takes time and much practice. I hope these ideas help have a happy and keep smiling Angelina > > Hi. I haven't posted in a VERY long time.
