I'm so use to logging on to my mail & finding e-mails from my Crystal Healing

friends & today, found none.  Am I doing something wrong with my E-mail address

or something else? I re-did my mailing list, so I'm concerned.  This is a

" check-to-see " e-mail.  Jackie

Thank you, Peggy.   I am relieved.  I actually kind of panicked cause I don't

want to miss anything, and I sure don't want to be left out.  I am so happy

being a part of this group and interacting with everyone. Thanks again; whew!

Hi -  I've been receiving posts for a few years, and occasionally respond.  I

really love this site, and since there aren't many posts today, I would like to

add one.  There are questions I have, experiences I'd like to share.  Looking

forward to being an active part of your group.  I'll start out with a question.

Recently I attended a crystal workshop, and learned that something I had been

told about shiva lingams was incorrect.  I was told one should have a pair.

When I read the recent posts about the lingam on this site, it made me wonder

about it.  Is it common to use a pair for balance?  How is one shiva lingam

used?  Is there a way to determine if the stone is shiva (female balance) or

lingam (male balance)?

Thanks everyone!  Have a beautiful holiday weekend.

Hi Lahna,

Are you sure they said Lingham and not Boji...as Bojis are often used in paris?

Blessings,

Dawn

Everyone has their own interpretations......but a Lingham is ...in

shape...representative of Shive...the shape is symbolize the phallus...the

creative energy of the cosmos...and the moarkings on the Lingham...that are

often circular or oval...as the Lingam itself...are to represent the Shakti

energy or the female Yoni.... and together they symbolize creation.  I wrote a

deck called the Jewels of the Lotus Tibetan Gemstone Oracle and when doing

readings I ....depending on the question.....read Lighgam as the pregnant

universe...or pregnancy and birthing your sacred somic voice...or talents.

Be blessed and bless others,

I wanted to ay hello and introduce myself. I am new to the group. I love

crystals and stones and use them for many things but mostly to uplift the

atmosphere with light and color. I am a professional psychic and certain stones

help me conduct my readings, as well as to cleanse and balance my energy after a

reading. All my stones help inspire creativity.

My favorites are calcites. I have  blue, red, orange, rainbow, aqua, green and

pink calcite specimens. They are so inexpensive, gorgeous and powerful. I love

their semi-gemmy quality.

Peace,

Mystikka

Hi Friends,

Just re-read my post and am sorry for all the mis-spellings.  I broke my nose at

the winter holidays with a shovel to the face.....yes it was an accident.  So I

just finally got it reset and have a splint on my nose.  Today my eyes are a bit

swollen and I am looking over the splint.  Anyways I guess I did not realize

which keys my fingers were on at all times.

Good Night All,

Dawn

Thanks, Dawn....no it was the boji.  And now I better understand about the stone

Shiva Lingham.  Very helpful!  Not I don't have to purchase two when I see one I

like!  I also found your use for them interesting....I will approach that way

and see what happens.

Jackie -

Dawn Silver gave a good explanation in response to my post.  I have friends who

use them in pairs to achieve male/female balance, but not I understand that one

stone has both properties.  I certainly DO know that when I hold them I feel

powerful energy that energizes me, comfortably.

If used in healings, where would you place the lingam and where the shiva on the

person's body? Do these work with the Chakras?  Do they need to be cleaned or

energiized?

told about shiva lingams was incorrect.

Jackie,

There is not a Shiva and a Lingam.. they are Shiva Lingams. The represent

the masculine aspect of Shiva... his penis. There are sects of Hinduism that

worship the Shiva Lingam in ritual and see the Shiva Lingam as if if God

Shiva

were in front of them rather than the rock.

There is also then a recepticle for the Shiva Lingam called the Yoni.

This is also

a Sanskrit word for the feminine.. the vulva. The Shiva Lingam sits on

the Yoni

when the puja (ritual) is performed.

I actually brought home a 15 " black Shiva Lingham from Tucson along

with a Yoni large enough to hold it. The black ones are very rare

and to me have a different type of energy. We also brought home

small Yonis too... we just haven't got around to receiving them in

or taking pictures yet.

We will be having many sizes on our website as soon as we can get to them!

In gratitude,

John Van Rees

Hi Jackie,

Boji stones are actually Kansas Pop Rocks but have been trademarked by Karen

Gillespie as Boji stones...she used to play with them as a child and then used

them to heal with.  I met her in Tuscon some 25 years ago and she told me her

story.

You asked how to use Linghams in healing and if they needed clearing or

cleansing.  I feel the level of cleansing any stone needs is in direct

proportion to what the stone picked up before you use them.  If you did some

serious healing work and the stone absorbed quite a lot then a good clearing is

in order.  If the stone had passed few hands and not used in healing then it is

not likely to need much.  there are many variables so it is best to use your own

intuition on it.  what I do is hold the stone in my left hand......kind of like

a mental kniesiology.....  I then view a meter in my head...like an

odometer....with the left numerical value being 0 and all the way to the right

reaching 100 incrementally by tens.  I tune in to see where the needle on the

meter is reading and that shows me the percent it needs to be cleared.  Then I

bring it down to zero and prepare to supercharge it all the way to one hundred

with my intention and the energy

I bring in through my crown...through my head, to my heart and up and out my

left arm.

Besides this technique there are many others I may chose instead/...sometimes I

use smoke...sometimes a good sized Tibetan bowl...sometimes running

water......sea salted water....and so on.  But the one I described is perfect

for when you are on the road, as I most often am, and not able to carry extra

supplies.  Although I always carry some sage and some palo santo wood.  You can

run it through the smoke.  I know many have other opinions but in my work I have

found that all stones need clearing.....they all carry and hold vibration.

So back to healing with Linghams.  Of course there is a wide variety of

ways.....endless I am sure....and we all have our own style.  I like to put them

in a pot of hot water...not too hot that you cannot quickly put your hand in to

take it out....Linghams are great for holding heat.  I use them just like you

would a hot rock treatment....especially on the small of the back.  With most

stones I love to work in pairs...and with Linghams you can place them on each

side of the spine...my fav size to work with is about three inches.  I use other

flat stones like chrysanthemum stone on the upper portions of the back.  The

client should of course be lying face down.  It is great to put one on the

bottom of the feet as well.  When I am done with the back session I take the

linghams...you can stand at the top of the head and then as well at the base of

the spine....and I roll them up and down the spine on each side...at the same

time....like a rolling

pin......it feels amazing.  You can as well do the same treatment using one to

gently roll on the abdomen of the body....it helps that you know the anatomy.  I

have used my hands to do the abdominal roll for over 25 years.....I am a

Naprapath which is similar to a Chiropractic....but our specialty is soft tissue

manipulation.  anyways begin gingerly until you are comfortable on the

front.....and on the back be sure that the hots stones are comfortable enough to

hold in your hands first.

When I was pregnant with my now 17 year old...I use to hold the Linghams up to

my wrist pulse points...as the Linghams held the cold really well and are

naturally cold.  Karina was a summer birth and it was a hot Chicago summer.  the

cold Linghams would cool me down.

I could go on forever here but this is plenty to get started with......be

blessed.....and use your great healing.  The first rule is if it feels good to

you it is likely to feel good to others....

PS....I am in the process of reprinting my book and oracle will be having it at

a real good price.....if anyone is interested....hopefully sometime by the

middle of May.....the original book and oracle was the recipient of the

Coalition of Visionary Retailers Award.  I am working on a new book....but that

is under wrap right now.

Dawn Silver gave a good explanation in response to my post.  I have friends who

My apology for the typo error.  I meant to say they are not bogi stones.

Definite shiva lingams.  I don't know very much about bogi's

Actually, I have only used them for personal reasons....to balance yin/yang

energies.  I hold one in one hand and one in the other.  My intuition tells me

that if using for healing, I would place the chakra stones appropriately and ask

the client to do the same ....hold one in each hand......if, of course, that is

something the person may need.

I also have acquaintenances who have large shiva lingams and use them in the

healing space for the male/female balance.  And yes, according to what I've

heard, these stones need cleaning and charging after use of after sitting around

for a while.

If used in healings, where would you place the lingam and where the shiva on the

person's body? Do these work with the Chakras?  Do they need to be cleaned or

energiized?

Everyone has their own interpretations. .....but a Lingham is ...in

really love this site, and since there aren't many posts today, I would like to

They are different.. we have both on the website.. take a look and you

will the difference.

Boji Stones are solid... the Moqui (Shaman stone) Balls are

concreations... they are iron on the outside

with sandstone in the middle.

Thank you for teaching me.  I look forward to the opportunity to actually see

these stones,

to buy some (if I can afford it), and to use them for personal balance. Along

with the balance would have to come peace and a feeling of being grounded.

Wonderful!  Jackie

Do they need to be cleaned or

energiized?

Thanks, Dawn....no it was the boji.  And now I better understand about the stone

Shiva Lingham.  Very helpful!  Not I don't have to purchase two when I see one I

like!  I also found your use for them interesting. ...I will approach that way

and see what happens.

Hi Lahna,

Are you sure they said Lingham and not Boji...as Bojis are often used in paris?

Everyone has their own interpretations. .....but a Lingham is ...in

shape...representat ive of Shive...the shape is symbolize the phallus...the

creative energy of the cosmos...and the moarkings on the Lingham...that are

often circular or oval...as the Lingam itself...are to represent the Shakti

energy or the female Yoni.... and together they symbolize creation.  I wrote a

Wow! Thanks for so much information.  I'm saving this letter to refer to later.

One thing:

" Kansas Pop-rocks " ?  I live in Kansas.  Is this where they are found?  If so,

where can I find

a photo of what these look like and where to find them, and how to remove them

from the Earth?  I am definetly intrigued.  Jackie

If you did some

serious healing work and the stone absorbed quite a lot then a good clearing is

in order.  If the stone had passed few hands and not used in healing then it is

not likely to need much.  there are many variables so it is best to use your own

intuition on it.  what I do is hold the stone in my left hand......kind of like

a mental kniesiology. ....  I then view a meter in my head...like an

odometer.... with the left numerical value being 0 and all the way to the right

reaching 100 incrementally by tens.  I tune in to see where the needle on the

meter is reading and that shows me the percent it needs to be cleared.  Then I

bring it down to zero and prepare to supercharge it all the way to one hundred

with my intention and the

energy

I bring in through my crown...through my head, to my heart and up and out my

left arm.

Besides this technique there are many others I may chose instead/...sometime s I

use smoke...sometimes a good sized Tibetan bowl...sometimes running

water......sea salted water....and so on.  But the one I described is perfect

for when you are on the road, as I most often am, and not able to carry extra

supplies.  Although I always carry some sage and some palo santo wood.  You can

run it through the smoke.  I know many have other opinions but in my work I have

found that all stones need clearing.... .they all carry and hold vibration.

So back to healing with Linghams.  Of course there is a wide variety of

ways.....endless I am sure....and we all have our own style.  I like to put them

in a pot of hot water...not too hot that you cannot quickly put your hand in to

take it out....Linghams are great for holding heat.  I use them just like you

would a hot rock treatment... .especially on the small of the back.  With most

stones I love to work in pairs...and with Linghams you can place them on each

side of the spine...my fav size to work with is about three inches.  I use other

flat stones like chrysanthemum stone on the upper portions of the back.  The

client should of course be lying face down.

Naprapath which is similar to a Chiropractic. ...but our specialty is soft

tissue manipulation.  anyways begin gingerly until you are comfortable on the

front.....and on the back be sure that the hots stones are comfortable enough to

hold in your hands first.

When I was pregnant with my now 17 year old...I use to hold the Linghams up to

my wrist pulse points...as the Linghams held the cold really well and are

naturally cold.  Karina was a summer birth and it was a hot Chicago summer.  the

cold Linghams would cool me down.

I could go on forever here but this is plenty to get started with......be

blessed..... and use your great healing.  The first rule is if it feels good to

you it is likely to feel good to others....

Jewels of the Lotus Oracle

PS....I am in the process of reprinting my book and oracle will be having it at

a real good price.....if anyone is interested.. ..hopefully sometime by the

middle of May.....the original book and oracle was the recipient of the

Coalition of Visionary Retailers Award.  I am working on a new book....but that

is under wrap right now.

Jackie -

Dawn Silver gave a good explanation in response to my post.  I have friends who

use them in pairs to achieve male/female balance, but not I understand that one

stone has both properties.  I certainly DO know that when I hold them I feel

powerful energy that energizes me, comfortably.

You are certainly welcome, Jackie....this is solely from my personal perspective

and from what I've heard from others who use them.

Thank you for teaching me.  I look forward to the opportunity to actually see

these stones,

to buy some (if I can afford it), and to use them for personal balance. Along

with the balance would have to come peace and a feeling of being grounded.

Wonderful!  Jackie

Do they need to be cleaned or

Blessings,

Dawn

Everyone has their own interpretations. .....but a Lingham is ...in

shape...representat ive of Shive...the shape is symbolize the phallus...the

creative energy of the cosmos...and the moarkings on the Lingham...that are

often circular or oval...as the Lingam itself...are to represent the Shakti

energy or the female Yoni.... and together they symbolize creation.  I wrote a

deck called the Jewels of the Lotus Tibetan Gemstone Oracle and when doing

readings I ....depending on the question.... .read Lighgam as the pregnant

universe...or pregnancy and birthing your sacred somic voice...or talents.

Be blessed and bless others,

Dawn Silver
