And while I am at it how about marble? Saturday morning I meditated and went into a dream. The dream told me alot of stuff and I think it told me more then I was ready to recieve because I ended up with the worse headache ever. I never had this kind of headache in my live I took prescription strength pain relievers, but they didn't do much. This headache went to bed with me and woke up with me the next day. I went outside to try and meditate my headache away. On my table outside I have a tabletop water fountian. The river rocks were calling to me and I picked up a dark colored on that had some white on it and placed it at the base of my skull where my spine begins. I took a couple cleansing breaths and the pain went away that was in that area which is where it all began at the end of the dream. Then I picked up a light colored one and placed it on my forehead and again the breathing and pain all bye- bye. I then picked two more that were dark and placed one on each temple. With in five minutes my headache was gone and I felt so much better. The only thing I experieced after that was tension and soarness from all the pain. But, I read on here that hemitite relieves stress. So I put on my hemitite necklase and with in an hour the tension was relieved. But I have looked in the archives a little bit and didn't see anything about river rocks or marble. What do you know about them any feedback would be great. But I did meet a brilliantly intuitive woman at a fair once who read rocks and had a story for each based on their distinct shape...one looked like a cradle...and so on. So you could make your own set of divinatory rocks by collecting the ones that speak to you and telling their story...read them as such. This occurs when you are visioning/using the third eye and do not close down and or ground when done with the journey or meditation. Black tourmaline, jett, and hemitite help the person to ground. There is much knowledge wisdom and medicine within them. They are heated within a fire, then brought into a lodge, and water is poured upon them, knowledge wisdom is released. Guest guest Posted February 16, 2009 Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 When I was a kid (many many moons ago) I would visit my grandparents on their 100 acre farm. There was a stone gravel driveway. I use to pick up rocks all the time.. like they were calling to me. I still do the same today when ever I see a rock that shines to me. A did this a few months back at a flee market and the man who just happened to be walking the same way I was thought I was crazy for picking them up! Little did he know. so I gave him a mini lesson. Recently I cleaned and energized all my stones on the full moon and when I brought them back inside it seems that some of these " ground " stones were the ones that I was drawn to the most. I personally find that these are the some of the best stones used as " worry stones " and I also call them nervous stones. It only makes sense to me that it calmed your headacke like a " flowing river " would. I will conside with the person who earlier wrote that all stones carry the vibrations of where they have been. It seems to be personally that some stones / crystals are meant to be with people and do service for others and some are just meant to stay in the earth. Like the crystals we purchase and they disappear - some never to return. A couple of years ago a friend of mine in NC bought a new house. The previous owners made jewelry and they mined their own stones and cleaned them in two piles in the back yard. The next year I went up and dug for a week, stone after stone, I got over 100 crystals (small ones) and many many other stones, that were not fit for them to make jewelry. My friend let me bring some back home with me. Now the clear crystals most of them like to disappear more than any other stone I have a few of them have never returned. I figure those were just not meant to be out of the ground. (Gotta keep some energy in the ground as well) Some have stayed and don't disappear and a few of them come and go. Interesting no two do the same thing even from the same place. But I also brought back many a grey stone - that would remind me of river rock, and lots of yellow ones, and some white ones as well. I find that I am drawn to these more so than many of the ones that I have purchased. Maybe it is that they came straight from the ground to me and have only been handled by three people. I really would like to go and mine my own sometime. That would be an adverture. But a stone is only a stone until it is unturned and then you never know what might surprise you with!! Best advise .... go with the flow and let your stone tell you..... We had a sanua built into a shower stall in the basement when we finished it while I was growing up. That would explain a lot. I do miss it and sad for me I can no longer sweat - or it flairs my rare disease of the sweat glands. Thanks for sharing... It is said to be the womb of Mother Earth. It can be hard going, but it definitely take one past their physical limits. It is a cleansing like nothing I have known. Also they usually use big rocks. Not small rocks. But they are definitely beings. Oh how I love them and thank them for their wisdom and strength. And non judgment. lol Funny but oh so true. Carol I Clicked! Sorry the pictures came so late I had to wait for my carmera then the weather. I also added a pic of the tabel top fountian, this fountian was purchased for $3.00 at a yard sell by my husband. As you notice at the top is a sphere shape for some reason he is being attracted to them.-that is another post. I noticed when getting these stones ready for their pictures the two that I put on each temple were the same colors and they were both flat one more then the other. I also noticed that the one that I put on my forehead was really cool. It looks white but when you really look at it there is gray behind it. Which jokingly I want to say to myself that means there is " somethin' in the noggin " . The one that I placed at the base of the skull is much more complex then the other three. Just like the relationship that I have with my spirit guide. I have been afraid of the water, so why and I in Florida? I don't know. In the past six months I want to be surrounded with water. I have water two table top fountians. In my fish tank I have the water level lower then normal just so I can hear the splash. I pick music that has water sounds in it. And I indulged in my desires to hear the water and I even wash my hands more often. I can't wait to go swimming in my small back yard pool. But I now have a connection between these river rocks and my desire of water. This I found on the web while researching what someone said about river rocks and Native Indians: The Stone or " mineral " totem for Water is River Rock, which can be obtained in any river. I learned so much through your post. What an exciting journey. I love Crystals, yet i love rocks just as much. Such special energy from them, non assuming. Whole stories within each and a journey to be treasured. A friend of mine brought me back stones from all around the world on her visits. I put them in a plot that did not grow so everyone could appreciate their beauty. Everything began to grow. Where nothing could grow there before. I found that Rocks from North America were also heavier than rocks from Europe for example. Not sure if it is because it was less mined or not. But I did find it fascinating.
