Guest guest
Hello, I want to make my first crystal grid. I've read the file and have got some questions and ideas I want to put to the group for advice before I do it. First of all I have two young children, so my grid has to be hidden yet accessible. I have been thinking of making a grid on some card, holding the crystals on it by blue tak and then putting it in the top draw of a chest of drawers. This is with the intent that anything I put ontop of the chest of drawers will get charged. So I was thinking of doing star of solomon. I don't have many crystals so I have to make do with what I have. For the outer corners is it OK to have 6 different rough crystals as I don't have 6 of the same? Is it OK to put polished stones in the corners? For the centre stone I have a choice of a point or cluster... which would be better if I wanted the whole surface of the chest of drawer top to be charged with energy? Also once I have made the crystal grid how often do I need to/should I, charge it up with reiki energy? Also can I use this grid for multi purpose ie; for healing( by putting paper/crystals representing people/situations within the grid), putting a abundance (laxmi) yantra in it to encourage some wealth, and also to charge anything put ontop of the drawers eg. water, clothes etc? Can I put the 'laxmi yantra' beneath the centre cluster or should it be within the spaces of the star? Can I programme the crystals in groups and then as a whole grid? I hope the group can answer my questions. I don't really get 'feelings' for what goes where, so am starting with this grid and hopefully as time progresses I can adjust it. Also can anyone suggest any really good books on grids. One that you can enjoy reading rather than just a text book. With lots of tips and examples? Thank you Anjani
Guest guest
Hi, I am slowly getting a bit more energy from a huge flu bug that took me down for two weeks so I am catching up on some ...just some mail. But I wanted to put some ideas out there for you. I can feel your eagerness and loving desire to offer so much to so many intentions. I would like to first say that your loving intent is already being seen by great guides and many loving spirits who are at the ready to work with you. About the grid, Your idea of a star of David is wonderful. I believe that you can use any of your stones on any of the positions. Just hold them and sort of ask them to help you and then do what your intuition tells you. It is pretty to have all like crystal points all facing a certain way, and points to focus energy in a certain direction but all your stones are going to work for you. Remember, they " are " the Stone People. The placement generally is to have outward flow place the pointed stones outward and for inner precise focus the reverse. Sometimes a protective circle around the star is also a good way to enhance the energy flow. I have an 8ft copper star of David buried directly under our Kiva. Well, my sweet hubby did all the digging and burying...me, I just placed crystal points facing upward at each point. A good size chunck of rose quartz is buried in the center. This, for us, set the stage for the building that was placed above it. Now, I also have a hanging grid I made from an large embroidery hoop from a hobby shop in which I glued small dowels from Walmart in the shape of the star of David. I also got copper tape and wound it around the dowels. Then I hung it from the ceiling of the Kiva (our prayer building). So, the energy not only is called from from the earth herself but from the heavens as well. It was suggested to me to keep the same grid above the other. Now, that is an elaborate model but the energy from your stones glued or secured on the chest top sounds wonderful. Remember that your tiny one is totally connected to the largest one energy wise. I also love the hexagon and use crawfish trays ...here in Louisiana and Mississippi we eat a lot of the buggers so the round trays have a deep border already in place. I lay down copper tape and then build a grid from this. If anyone would like to see these photos please let me know and I would be very happy to try and post them on the site or send them to you privately. I think there are so many options to focus energy that it is really like an energy " candy store " . I think we are encouraged to try and then grow from our efforts. I hope these ideas might spur you onward and upward. And I am sure you will be getting a bunch of ideas back to you. Thank you for asking. It is wonderful to share and grow together. By the way,if anyone is ever in the area...and would like to stop by and enjoy our 14 acres filled with crystals everywhere in all sorts of arrangements just write me . I would love to share all I can. Nuff for now...now back to the couch with some kleenex...Judy

I really like the idea of the copper tape... I hope I can get hold of some. I would love to put a grid around our home, but don't have crystals big enough. Your Kiva sounds very beautifully charged. I'm sure as soon as you step into it you get a buzz of energy. That's what I wanted to do for my meditation room, but its just not happening. Mainly because I'm not keen in sitting inside a closet (which is what I had read as an excellent place to meditate). I prefer just sitting on my bed, then I get sweet dreams too. Would you send me pictures of your kiva and your crystal grids. I would love to get ideas from them? Anjani

Guest guest
neil songy <songyn Then I hung it from the ceiling of the Kiva (our prayer building). So, the energy not only is called from from the earth herself but from the heavens as well. It was suggested to me to keep the same grid above the other. FINALLY!! Someone else who has suspended a grid from their ceiling!!! lol For me it is not practical to have a grid on the floor of our meditations room (although I do have a pentagram carpet that I do use for girdding purposes on the floor, centered below the ceiling grid. I use it as needed and do put various crystals around it and in various patterns depending on what mood strikes me). The ceiling grid is made entirety of copper wire and dangling pentagram-pentagon faceted crystals (clear, smokey and rose quartz)?and suspended using cup hooks n the ceiling. It has a 10 (or is it 11) foot diameter and is in the shape of a decagram (ten-pointed star done as an upright and inverted pentagram - as above, so below and the aspects of God and Goddess: view diagram of decagram here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Decagram_10_4.png?). The quartz stars (you can view one here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Clear-Quartz-Crystal-Sacred-Geom-5-Point-Star-CQ1419_W0QQite\ mZ260347708266QQihZ016QQcategoryZ102500QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem?) The stars are only about an inch across and dangle from copper wire at the outer points of the star (clear quartz) and the?next two inner " rows/circles " of intersecting lines with rose quartz and smokey quartz alternating on the first inner row/circle and then the second inner row/circle is clear quartz again. The Smokey stars are hung inverted and the rose quartz are hung upright. The clear quartz alternate in both rows/circles upright and inverted. So, there are a total of 30 stars dangling from the grid and ceiling. There is much more detail I could go into with the grid but I don't want to bore you ... heehee Prior to putting the grid up, I would have to say for new folks entering the room (at that time it was actually my bedroom, until my daughter moved out) would comment on the energy and ask how I could sleep in there. For some it was quite " jangly " . I was accustomed to it since I had brought the crystals in gradually and slept there. Once I had the grid completed and all other decorating done, we had a consecration/dedication ritual (meditation and universal healing and protection as well since it is also the room where rituals are performed)?for the meditation room. We selected the folks that we wanted to participate and had all your typical " bells and whistles " that are in many pagan rituals. Once all of this had taken place, folks coming into the room for healing or just to relax and bask in the energies of the grid and crystals, say the energy is very calming and soothing. And for the folks that thought it was previously " jangly " it is now smooth and focused (for lack of better description). While most folks do use the Star of David, my path resonates with the pentagram and for me there must be the balance of masculine and feminine energies, thus the decagram. I even was able to come across a quartz crystal that is a faceted decagram. Enough of my ramble. Blessings to your eve all. Guest guest
anilsaiba suryauditprasad ?I really like the idea of the copper tape... I hope I can get hold of some. I would love to put a grid around our home, but don't have crystals big enough. Check into copper wire as well. You might actually be able to find some nice thicknesses at your local Home Depot or Lowes (or other hardware/home improvement shops) that sell electrical wiring. What I used for my grid is quite thick and it was not covered in plastic either. It works really well for making the outer circle and smaller gauges can be used for the inner star. I would like to ask why you feel you need large crystals for gridding your home? When it comes to crystals and their energy, size do NOT matter. I have some small yellow sapphire roughs that are only 3 -5 mm (millimeters) in size that have such incredible energy, if you just closed your eyes and felt the energy, you would not believe they were so tiny. The only thing I would have to say about gridding the entire house is that points might be a better choice then tumbled stones but even then it would depend on what crystals you decide you want to use. If you feel it is right for your home to use tumbled stones (terminated crystals are just my personal preference.), then by all means do so but don't think that because a crystal or stone is small, it is not up to the task of a house grid. Guest guest
Wow Renau, I would love to see photos of your grid. I could try something similar for our room. My kids can't get to the ceiling 'yet'. Currently I have two crystal points in 4 corners of the room. However I don't feel any benefit from them there. I may have done it wrong. also I never touch them... do you re-energise your crystal grid somehow... or once up there it does its job forever? Guest guest
That's good. I thought...big house...big crystals. I suppose though i have wait till I find the right ones. As I have noticed the crystals I have do not always give me energy. When I was pregnance, I only had one citrine tumblestone. A 1.5cm one. But it helped me so much for my acid and heartburn. Since then, citrine has been my favorite, however it doesn't ever give me as much energy as before... infact nothing. Nowadays I get more response from a amethyst crystal. In my previous reply to you, I mentioned my small crystal points in my room acting as a grid. I thought they might not be working because they are small or that I have to re-energise them. Perhaps I didnot programme them correctly or perhaps they just aren't for that room? Yes the copper wire would be ideal for the ceiling grid. After I have made my drawer grid, and felt its energy, I shall next try a ceiling grid. Guest guest
Wooooooohooooo! What a wonderful drawing. I plan to just run it off and use it as an awesome grid. I can sense the energy flow in a third dimensional way just from looking at it. There is also a hanging grid above my head in the bedroom made of that large embroidery hooop but also I have made , again from the simple walmart dowels an effort at making the star tetrahedron. I could not actually get it to the complet position but there is a nice energy as it rests as a star of David made three dimentionally. I feel it is more of a portal. and speaking of portals. Has anyone enjoyed making them? They are another way of allowing great energies into your life. They are so simple to make. I again made a trip to the hobby shop and this time I got another circle hoop and also an elliptical one as well. I went home and mounted them on a base after having wrapped them in the copper tape and with stones both facing points inward and outward as well. I them place a special stone on the bottom of the hoop and dedicate it to the work of allowing protective, healing enegies to enter. I ban any other and ask that protection be given at all times. Now it is " active " when I raise it to its standing position and " closed " when laid down. I have one that frames a carving and another a photo that also has a strong crystal at the base. The stones change as the need changes. I believe that there are myraid avenues for us to travel and many gifts simply available to us for the asking. I believe that if we approach what we do asking for protection it is given and if we honor the ancient gifts that are with us today we are then gifted more..that we then should share outward. There is so much that I enjoy of the energy worlds around me and so much that I have yet to learn but it is great learning as I go especially with such nice imput from you'all. (now you know I am from the south..huh?) Anyway, your posts have encouraged me to get to posting some of my photos on this site. Hope I can do it being that I am still a computer dummy of sorts. Don't laugh cause just getting through almost 65 trips around the sun leaves me learning what I see 4 yr olds doing with computers better than I do...geeesh. Ok. off to post photos. Guest guest
<snip> ~~~ReNau, Funny I thought you were a man too. I couldn't tell really, your posts are so informative. Your poem is the type that anyone on a 'path' could use to describe their own desires to a loved one. It made me think of some of my own family to whom I wish they could understand this message.~~~ <snip> ~Chuckling~ I guess being raised with 2 older brothers and having a less then feminine mother can do that to a woman then. I also tend to enjoy working in a warehouse environment which are still male-dominant. I enjoy the physical activity that combines with the mental (shipping and receiving). I also tend to relate better to males due to all of this. Too many females around me just want to be clingy and whiney too often and it drives me nuts! lol? The poem " My Path " was actually inspired by a young woman in her upper teens who was having trouble convincing her parents the her path was different from theirs. I also had my mother-in-law's minister read it as part of my eulogy when she (MIL) passed away. I could not read it myself because I was too broken up about her passing. I loved her dearly and she loved me also and never condemned me my path. <snip> ~~~Also ReNau about the ceiling grid. I was thinking of it yesterday, when I realised I had a huge ceiling light/fan in the room I wanted to put it in. Did you do the star around it with no central crystal or did you not have this problem? What could I do to complete the grid?~~~~ <snip> I actually had to have my husband move the ceiling fixture for me so that the light would be centered in the grid. Of course with doing this, I had to find THE perfect light for the new space that spoke more of the nature of a meditation room and what I was already doing with the ceiling. I found a mirrored ceiling medallion in a six pointed star shape (faceted or 2-3 dimensional for lack of a better term and not a flat medallion) the mirror and bronzy/brassy metal frame were done in an antiqued treatment. The light fixture itself is a small chandelier that is the same finish as the mirror, something of a pear shaped frame with 5 scrolling " arms " that make up the frame and are attached top and bottom and bent to create the shape. There are glass dangles in a tear drop shape creating tiers and there are small metal flowers and leaves going up the " arms " . It is really quite a dainty and lovely little chandelier and perfect for a meditation room and also perfect for the size of the space. To hide the gaping hole in the ceiling without having to deconstruct and reconstruct the grid (let me tell you it took many many hours to complete due to the details) I draped fabric from the ceiling with the light fixture dangling from the center of the fabric. The decagram reminds me of the huge compasses they would put in mosaics on the?floors of buildings in old times, On the ceiling it gives something of a caravan tent kind of feel ... so draping fabrics in various spots (the center and the " voids " between the actual points) softens the flat surface and gives even more of a caravan tent feel to it. I also didn't mention that all the points are sponge painted (giving a mottled color effect) the colors of the elements and spirit. So opposing points are the same color in the decagram (red, yellow, blue, green and white). the fabric in the voids alternates silver (Goddess) and gold (God) and is a shimmery gossimer kind of fabric with stars sparkling in it. In answering your question to Judy about charging the grid again, for me personally, I feel the only reason I would need to charge the grid again is if I were to change it's intent (which I do not plan on doing). I " feel " the crystals that reside in the meditation room are always charged and cleansed and at the ready for healing and meditation work because of the energy flow of and from the grid. I also have lots of selenite in the room. So, it is a room full of happy vibrating crystals. :-D <snip> ~~~I've only got small crystals... you said they can be just as powerful. Do you think if I bury the small crystal quartz points facing inwards in the 5 corners of my property (terrace house), that would help protect it? Would they really be strong enough to make a difference? ~~~ <snip> If you are wanting to grid the house for protection, I would personally put the crystals with points facing outward (the intent of repelling negative energies and such) now if you have enough crystal point to have a set facing out and one facing in,then you could charge and program the set facing out with repelling negative energies and the set pointing in with bringing in loving healing energies. As to would they be strong enough, the answer is .... they will be as strong as the intent you put into them for protection. The crystals are not doing all the work for you. You also have to make sure you focus your intent when charging and programming the crystals as to what you would like them to do. Some small crystals gridding your home are better then no crystals at all. Do not second guess whether you are doing it right and do not second guess if you have enough strength in your intent .... OF COURSE you do! We all do. Let your intent speak from heart and spirit and not from your analytical mind and you will be just fine :-D Blessings to your weekend all.
