The curmudgeon is here... :-) I wouldn't place a lot of faith in what I would read by Barbara Marcinak. I used to manage a New Age Store about 10 years ago... we had her there for a book signing.. and she was discussing how could write a new book that people would want... and wondering what she should put in it. The energy wasn't clean... she as much as said all she was interested in was selling books and was willing to write anything that would sell books. The information in the books was secondary to creating money... The 12 chakras... or more depending on who you talk to..who needs them? 7 chakras work well for me. :-) This is one of my pet peeves... New Age Voodoo/WooWoo. Sometimes people get excited when the information is so out there... always.. here is something new... and people go WOW... WOW.. WOW.... when there isn't anything there at all.... just hype. Just so you know.. I am not against Woo Woo... but I am against using Woo Woo to manipulate and cajole... Ok... I have a healing modality that used 11 chakra's but they are all located on the body. We have many charka's minor and major, just as we many many other layers of the body (aura) that we don't deal with. We have a hard enough time just dealing with those image if we actually got into the rest of them. Actually this modality uses protocols and deals with minor and major chakra's both front and back, organs, and the aura in cleaning, stabalizing, and energizing. The 11 Chakra's are as follows in the modality (just for reference) basic - lower back sex - lower front naval meng mein - located in the middle back, controls engery from top chakra's to lower chakra's and controls the kundalini. spleen - all prana comes in through this and is distributed to the other chakra's and organs. solar plexus heart throat ajna - know as the eye - also known as " little buddah " forehead crown - divine about the crystal - possible that maybe you could use a clear cystal and program it? As far as crystal medicine and any type of spiritual wisdom intuition is a central guideline for assessing the reliability of information. Have have several books and I don't accept ALL the information in most of my books -- both on astrology and crystal medicine. The only books I 100% rely on are books with traditional teachings (Native American and Hebrew Kabala) because the information contained in them has been veryfied for generations but today many unknown individuals claim to be Red Elders and/or Kabalists -- so one can't blindly accept everything one's told verbally or in writing Sadly most of the knowledge on crystal medicine and astrology as well as other spiritual subjects has been lost over the course of history and our generation - especially the younger generation of " Crystal Children " (born with Neptune in Capricorn; mid 1980s-mid 1990s) are here to re-learn and re-teach this information. With Pluto having entered Capricorn a month ago we can expect in the next 24 years a major breakthrough in discovering the secrets of crystal medicine. I know some are not fond of this publisher.): " New Chakra Healing; The Revolutionary 32-Center Energy System " by Cyndi Dale published in 1998 ISBN: 1-56718-200-3 In this book it does give color associations for Chakras 8-11 and in doing so with some of them the color can be referencing a crystal/mineral: Chakra 8 = Silver or Ultra-violet Chakra 9 (Soul Chakra) = Gold or infrared Chakra 10 (The Grounding Chakra) = Earth tones including citrine,brown, mauve, russet, limestone yellow, olive greens, obsidian. Chakra 11 (these are the chakras that Cyndi associates with the hands and feet) = Pink Chakra 12 Cyndi associates with the secondary Chakra system that then breaks the body down into more individual parts/points with no specific color references. Cyndi Dale appears has a different perspective from Rose Sangregorio that Arsi mentioned and probably a different perspective from Barbara Marciniak. So, like everything else in Metaphysics and spiritual studies/practices in general, one needs to find what works for them and makes sense to them even if that means taking a thread of truth from each person and weaving it into your own personal truth. There are many interpretations of chakra work and some confusion to be sure about the number of major and minor chakras etc. My learning comes thru Pleiadian channels and also Drunvalo Melchizedek but generally what I want to remark on is the similarity to musical scales. As the diatonic scale is more western and the chromatic scale considered eastern we see that both incorporate an octave of experience. The twelve chakra system may be seen in the same light...the full chromatic scale incorporates the sharps and flats in the scale and the 12 or 13 chakra system is similar. In this view, the 8-12 chakras are not in a different location but a part of another fuller view of our body system.If you use the width of your hand or approximately 7.23 cm and begin at the base chakra, each of the chakras are equidistant, which also solved for me the confusion around some systems using the navel and some the solar plexis. Anyway, if we take the concept in color theory that there are new age colors like mauve that are pastel like shades that translate the color wheel thru 12 shades, we can begin to get an intuition about how we could work with the stone people or crystalline energies. Also the soles of the feet, and an " earth-star " chakra about 18 " below our feet and a " soul-star " chakra about 18 " above our heads. The Reiki I practice is auric field Reiki, touching the auras rather than the body itself--I find the energy is able to spread out more this way. Rather than confuse ourselves and others, the old 7 chakra system is easy to work with. Guest guest Posted January 6, 2009 Report Share Posted January 6, 2009 Oh yes totally agree. One modality I use only addresses the 7 chakra's and the other one addresses the 11. But both do addresss the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. The hands to acticate energy for the healing session. The feet for grounding ones self. I do MCKS Pranic Healing and well as Spiritual Healing certificate from the Ashram. The MCKS deals with a lot of minor chakra's in their healing protocol, which is kind of neat. The MCKS also deals with cleaning the aura probably sinular to the type of Reiki that you perform. I find this helps keep up our general health good and can be done on all old and young a good maintance if you will. As " disease " gets into our auric field before it manufests in the physical body. You definately have to go with what resins with you as an individual. It is nice to reach out to others as that is how we all grow and learn. Blessings and have a prosperious year with your healings.
