Aloha Kakou (Greetings Everyone)!

 

. . . and Mahalo Nui Loa (Big Thanks)! to Peggy for creating such a great

site and keeping things on track as well as to Renau, Dawn and John and everyone

who answers those who have newly discovered the awesomeness of the crystal and

mineral universe and are needing information and seeking guidance and

encouragement. Those of us who have had the privilege of working with these

wonderfully wise entities have learned a few things along the way, enjoy sharing

and delight in watching others discover the same.

 

Of late I've not taken the time to respond to queries that I would have liked

to or thought I should have so wanted to take the time to share what I could as

encouragement to those who are new to crystal energies and uses.

 

The 'stone people' came to me ever ten years ago through Native American

tradition and insisted that I pay attention. I was not sure what to do with the

information that came through vision, intuition and meditation, but soon found

myself spending a LOT of time in rock and metaphysical stores asking questions,

getting answers and becoming amused and amazed at the number of stones that

seemed to follow me home. Giving them away has become of habit and great way to

share the joy they were giving me.

 

My intent was to head to Vermont to a week long workshop given by Dhyani

Ywahoo at the Sunrise Meditation Society's Buddhist-Cherokee Retreat Center but

somehow landed on Maui one of the seven Hawaiian islands but the Universe had

other plans and I reluctantly headed in the opposite direction.

 

Although there are no stones native to Hawaii other than Olivine (Peridot) and

a few pockets of Tourmaline, crystal use is probably as prevalent here as it is

in Sedona, Arizona. Reiki, Massage, Acupuncture and many other healing

modalities using energy/and polarity are in use here. Combining that with the

beauty of the aina, the aloha of the people and the tropical weather truly makes

it a Paradise. I soon found that the resources I had for acquiring stones made

a great second income and Heart of Maui was created to allow visitors to

re-order as well as be able to offer free Chakra and Chakra Balancing info to

anyone requesting such.

 

Because of a car accident, I was able to take the time to make a comprehensive

list of crystals/minerals recommended for use with each of the seven major

chakras. If any book or source recommended it, I included it. Lists also

include Common Name, Sanskrit Name, Planet, Metal, Organs Affected, Fragrance,

Sephira, Musical Note, Tone, Color Meanings and many other factors, as well as

minerals suggestions for each chakra.

 

Although I know the intention is always well meant, I am always leery when I

hear someone giving another advice about crystal use or crystal cleansing or

clearing. For me crystal wisdom has come through the above mentioned intuition,

attention and intention and I see that now as a journey of honoring and

validation of what I 'experience' and not so much a knowing or destination. It

is important for 'newbies' to know that as many have said here there is no

'right or wrong' stone for any situation. Trust that you will learn all that

you need in time as needed.

 

I am often asked at our booth which is the 'right' stone for a healing

situation or need and continually resist giving an answer as it is much more

important for those newly drawn to crystal energy to use those three guidelines

of Intuition, Attention and Intention. Your interactive experience is more

important than anything a book or other person can tell you. Books are great

for relating historical and channeled information and suggestions, but can never

replace you own intuition.

 

Recently I have noticed that a stone will often not seem active until someone

has taken 'ownership' of their relationship with it. This past weekend I

assisted someone who found a stone at our display that had attracted her, but

had lost her connection with it. When she described it's energy and her intent

in using it, I knew that it was Lepidolite. I handed it to her and when she

handed it back, it's energy had changed so profoundly that I was able to connect

with how deeply meaningful its effect on her was.

 

A long discussion let me know how her intention for the new year was to

re-pattern her old ways of doing things, including being more gentle and loving

to herself by relaxing and nurturing her playful childlike self. Ironically her

psychiatrist had intuitively sent her to look 'for a stone'. Lepidolite effect

comes from it's high lithium content. Lithium is most prescribed pharmaceuticals

and used for depression.

 

As much intuition,attention and intention can play a role in gathering crystal

wisdom, understanding the scientific principle that guide them can be useful. I

am not a scientist, so share only what I understand. Knowing the principles of

energy flow has been very helpful to me in creating grids and in meditation and

chakra balancing.

 

These principle are that. . .ENERGY TRAVELS . . .

 

1) Toward the point. In DT's or double terminated pieces the energy flows

both ways, but primarily toward smaller end. . . .

 

2) Toward heat. . . .

 

3) Toward light. . . .

 

4) Toward water-making water a great element in creating elixirs with stones

considered safe for such and great for forn releasing collected energy from a

stone or the body and . . .

 

5) Toward the Earth.

 

If you want to CHARGE a stone or other body using another crystal place point

directed TOWARD THE stone or body. If you want to RELEASE or disperse energy

(say to remove blockages) use the crystal pointed AWAY FROM from body.

 

When using these principles for meditation I often place the stone whose

property I want to absorb. . . sometimes Black Tourmaline (protective) often

Citrine (energizing, self confident sunny energy) in my left or receiving palm

with point or termination pointed toward my wristt and a clear Quartz crystal in

my right or giving hand with termination pointed toward Earth. This seems to

prevent over amplification by creating a receiving and releasing or tune-up

effect. This may or may not work for someone else. If intuition gives you

other instructions, play with energy of stones until you find the dynamics that

are right for you.

 

Often the solution to a problem comes in the form of intuitive suggestions to

try things I've never before considered. I was struggling to acquire a computer

a few years ago with little cash and somehow picked up a newspaper with a small

ad that led me to a technician that was putting together systems from discarded

parts and he just happened to have one at price I had intended to pay. Within

24 hours I had my computer, which sufficed until I was able to afford something

better. That technician is still the most reliable and affordable on the island

and has become a trusted friend. I have been known to pull in the ethereal

energy of Aquamarine, said to be a connection to the angels when a miracle is

needed. Angelite and Danburite are said to do the same. Try it, you'll like

it!

markings that you notice but no one else does? Is it a feeling of connection or

knowingness? Once a stone has chosen to work with you it will definitely have

your attention!

 

INTENTION-Why has this stone chosen you? What message does it have for you?

What questions have you lately been seeking the answers to? How can you best

use that information in creating a plan of action that allows balance to return?

Listen with your heart and your stone will guide you. Honoring the answers

given will create the most effective healing and beneficial relationship between

you and your new friend.

 

The ancient cultures teach that the stones are entities that have finished

their work on Earth and returned to be of service. Thy come without judgment

and offer only Love. If you have been called to work with these beautiful

beings, the answers to why you have “chosen” a stone may come long after the

mineral or crystal has spoken to you. This information may come through a book,

a vision, a dream or simply an overheard conversation. Honor and enjoy the

process--and the journey!
