Some the older crystal healing books and not a few of the newer ones are very fear centered . Some books and teachers are full of warnings that serve mostly to increase the idea of specialness and the mystique of the writer/teacher . Many probably most of the books on crystal healing are simply recapitulations of things in older books. These warnings may have had value in the past , However most are not valid when you learn to work with the Crystal Deva/ Spirits , consciousness of the stones and crystals . Those who recognize nature and spirit as allies will find that the universe and the stones and crystals will not harm them and do not require tweaking to be effective healers and counselors. While we may enjoy the ritual of clearing and charging crystals, they do not require this though they will accept this as part of your gift of appreciation and harmonizing yourself to the crystals . If you work from the idea that the crystals can harm you you may create harm for yourself. Trust that the stones will do only good. They will not cut your aura if you point the quartz point toward your body, the stones do not war upon themselves or you. Respect your stones and crystals and treat them with love and appreciation. The only way you can overcharge or be depleted by crystal energy is when you ( or a practitioner) tries to force healing. ignores intuitive guidance and overrules the natural flow of the energies . The most important parts of crystal healing are to develop your connection and intuitions with the crystals , listen and feel for the guidance of the stones and universal intelligence and appreciate / practice gratitude for the stones and crystals and all the other blessings in the universe. It was not so long ago that everyone knew the world was flat and as we know now the world is in fact rather roundish ,much of what we have Known about crystal healing also has changed . Examine and question thoroughly and learn to access you inner knowing , Explore crystal healing rather than simply memorizing and practicing by rote. Most of all enjoy playing together, communing with the crystals and stones as loving allies, best of friends and wise companions. Guest guest
Yes, very well-said and thank you for " validating " what I have intuitively known. I consult several books and websites when I have a crystal-healing question, using them as a starting point for information. Ultimately, though, I have learned to trust my intuition when making recommendations even when they seem " contrary " to what the books are telling me. I don't need to know whether it is the crystals themselves telling me what is needed or that there is a piece of the " puzzle " that I'm not aware of ... or some combination of the two. I very much appreciate the insights I'm getting from this list. Kathy Smith -------------- Original message from " silalasangre " <silalasangre: -------------- Wonderfully said. Guest guest
Well said Peggy!!! Amen!!! I have encountered one or two painful experiences with my stones. When large specimens were accidentally dropped on my bare, unsuspecting toes. tomas *tomas removes tongue from cheek* , rosequartz <rosequartz wrote: > > When you start to study crystal healing you are likely to
Guest guest
Well said and I've read a lot about working with crystals. Clearing/cleansing and charging your stones there really isn't any right or wrong way to do it. For me though, I do believe that salt is harsh on most and water can run some such as selenite. Sun can cause some colours to fade on crystals such as rose quartz and amythst. Otherwise, I think you can pretty much do no wrong as long as you respect the crystal spirits.
