Guest guest
Is there a book or a web site that can teach me how to start using crystals? I know I am drawn to them BIG time, but I really am not sure of the correct way to use them or to care for them. Thanks

I regularly use an ebay store owners site to reference common crystals and there excepted uses. One thing I must add here though is that no matter what the normal excepted use of a crystal is it is really about what that crystal does for you. I have several crystals that are supposed to be used for one thing or are reported to work on a specific chakra but they do something else for me. An example; I have a picture jasper that is said to work well in the root chakra but I find that it speaks very strongly to my solar plexus, I also have a piece of obsidian that insists on sitting on my brow during meditation. So the point of this post is read everything you can about crystals and what they do for others but be open to what they do to and for you; it may be different from what others experience but that is all part of this process and you may just teach something to some of the veteran crystal users. Having said that something I want to stress is that you have to be open to learning, and no matter what you think you know don't use the words " I know that " , those words shut off your ability to learn from others. Above all enjoy your crystal friends they are amazing if you open up to them. Jessica

Guest guest
Greetings, My name is Yvonne and I am new to this list. I have been drawn to crystals for a long time and I use them to protect my aura when I am working (massage, facials, healing). I just wanted to recommend a book which I haven't bought yet but which I think is fabulous: The Book of Stones (not sure who the authors are). You can buy it on amazon.com. I like Judy Hall's " The Crystal Bible " , Crystal Therapy by Doreen Virtue, Love is In the Earth by Melody, Crystal Enchantments by D.J. Conway and The Women's Book of Healing by Diane Stein. I practice Pranic Healing and for that we use a clear quartz crystal which comes from Brazil. Mine looks like a wand! It is very cool. I look forward to meeting and learning from you all. Guest guest
Yvonne, What part of country are you in? I have just taken the MCKS Pranic Healing crystal level this fall. I love it. My crysal came from India. Did you use the Bejewel site to obtain your crystal? Blessings Rebecca --- On Fri, 11/28/08, faerie29 <faerie29 wrote: faerie29 <faerie29 [CrystalHW] Re: Crystal Lessons ? Guest guest
Hi Rebecca, It is nice to meet you I took the Pranic Healing classes in Los Angeles where I live (Culver city to be specific). I took them earlier this year and I have been trying to retake the classes as there is so much information. They told me that my crystal came from Brazil. I have honestly never seen such a clear, perfect quartz before. It was expensive - $450 but it was the one that felt right in my hand. A lot of the other ones were short and stubby. I bought my crystal at the Pranic healing Crystal workshop and they were very knowledgeable. Are you practicing Pranic healing? I am going to a Pranic healing clinic to volunteer every Wednesday so I have a chance to practice and help the public. Where did you take your MCKs classes?
