Guest guest
Lin, I am going to ask you to change your strategy. Salt can hurt many soft minerals. Cleansing is really simple.. a matter of intention. No matter the process of cleansing it is the intention that matters the most. I wash them with warm water and dish soap. While washing them I " See " them being cleansed and cleared. The come out nice a sparkly and raring to go. In the same vein of intention, just do what you think is best... and even.. easiest for you. Just be sure to have the intention in your mind of the crystals being cleansed and charged. You can also use a Selenite Charging plate to set them on for bringing their energy up. This doesn't answer your question but I hope it helps you. Greetings Lin, I am in agreement with John about not using salt for cleansing crystals. I also want to expound on what he mention about some crystals being sensitive to cleansing methods. Some crystals and minerals are also water soluble. So, one must use caution with water cleansing as well. Halite is a beautiful form of salt crystal and easily dissolves away to nothing in water. If you are completely new to crystals before cleansing them, make certain you know what kind of crystal/mineral they are and the hardness and solubility before using any liquids on them. Some folks prefer just using intent and their own breath. Some use sun or moonlight (and again some crystals can fade if left in direct sunlight). Some will bury crystals in the earth (even dirt of potted plants). Some will smudge with cleansing incenses (sage, dragons blood, frankincense). Some use Reiki ......and many probably use a combination depending on need, time and purpose (or last use) of the crystal. Blessings to your eve all.
