Crystal in formations

Hi, I was wondering if people here have ever explored the energy

manifesting as a crystal takes a certain shape. Some feel that the

shape itself has been more revealed than formed or carved. I am

wondering if those different shapes that crystals find themselves would

have then differing energies being expressed? I have my own opinion on

this but am just throwing out that idea. Has anyone ever held that

discussion and just what that means for us connected by caring for

these various forms.

My thoughts on this are kinda multi-faceted (no pun intended,

really!). In my honest opinion, we will be drawn by intuition to a

crystal or a combination of crystals as long as we're mindful of what

we are trying to achieve with these crystals when we pick them out,

whether it may be picking from our own collection, a rock shop or from

a catalog or a web page. We all select our crystal spirits in

different ways. Some folks choose their crystal spirits by touching

them and when the right one pops out they intuit that it's the one

they need. Other folks choose by sight and they know which is the

right one when they see it and I'm sure there are many more ways to

pick out just the right crystal helper. Personally, I use all of the

above and more. Sometimes, if I'm getting conflicting feelings, my

pendy helps me to pick the one I need.

 

Ok, this, IMHO, is where certain shapes and/or formations come into

play. When a crystal 'looks' right to you, it may influence you

energetically and that could influence the way you 'use' or work with

it's spirit to achieve your goals. In working with crystals, as with

other forms of energy work, intent is extremely important and if a

certain crystal formation or shape looks right it helps boost your intent.

 

One more thought here. Something I have noticed in natural crystals is

that clusters of crystals have a stronger 'feel' than say individual

points. I have quite a few Herks and all but one are the DT points

most folks are accustomed to; one is a miniature cluster made up of

three tiny DT's. The energy of that beautiful little crystal is awesome!

 

This is just my .02 cents worth. Would love to hear more thoughts on

this.

Hi, I loved reading your post and it speaks so much to this topic. When I was

speaking of formations I was including carved forms of crystals. I also find

that clusters do indeed carry a thick, expanding kind of energy. I believe that

is why it is suggested that we can place our smaller crystals or jewelry or

crystals that have been in service to others on them to offer cleansing and

rejuvenation.

I also believe that altered shaped crystals carry a sort of compassionate

energy as they have been " dinged " or damaged on their journey , thus absorbing

the energy of understanding and I find myself drawn to them to assist me or

others when needed. Also, they seem to be in the " throw away " bins at rock

shows...much less expensive but ..Oh...so powerful. Also, the inner fractures

produce the most lovely rainbows , which speaks loud and clear to the energy of

hope flowing from them.

I , too, have herkimer diamonds , only mine were obtained at the " damaged "

bins in Herkimer shops. I and my hubby had a wonderful gift of being allowed to

park our camper on a herkimer diamond hill. The next day we visited the shop as

we could see just how hard it would have been to actually dig in the ever so

hard rocks. We are in our 60's and so the age of bending and trying to dig is

way over...lol. But we did come across some that were considered " ugly " ....and

they were so pretty to us. The general thought is that the clearer a crystal is

the more it is valuable ...but I don't think that.

Now, about carved forms, I wanted to perhaps explore that aspect more. The

act of releasing the actual energy of a specific form by the hand of the carver

is one way that people look on carving forms. For e.g., the type of stone that

would form a bear would carry not only the energy or spirit of the bear but the

type of stone used would also express itself in the bear. One carved from

hemitite would exude a different energy that that carved from quartz crystal.

Has anyone noticed this when looking at various formations? Has anyone noted the

special type of energy from any of their carvings? The color offers additional

specific energies as well as the place where this carving was resting in Our

Mother....eg...the ley lines. I also find that the very use of a crystal or

carving in sacred ceremonies allows the carving to gather more to itself even as

it offers its gifts outward. Also, bringing a carving or crystal to a sacred

place also gives that stone more gifts. For eg, I love to place my stones in

grids / altars on ground set as sacred by Native Americans. And then there is

sound that also allows the stone to take in more.. from the sound of a bubbling

brook to the sound of Om , to singing , to the sound of your heartbeat. I also

play my Native American flutes and also place my stones near my drum as well as

place it in my large crystal bowl. Here I have to take care as the vibrations

are very strong in the bowl.

Now, I would love to know what members have explored the world of carvings of

the " Stone People " as the Native American would call them. I would love to hear

your ideas of how you use them in your ceremonies or altars or grids or healing.
