Guest guest
You know, I have been attracted to all different types of stones and crystals for as long as I remember And some are still SOOO hard for me to distinguish between others. (the appearance can be so similar) How does one absolutely know what something is? (without having the access to the chemical compound?) Anyone???? Guest guest
I'd imagine by being fully psychic beyond the level of intuition, accessing Akasa and all knowledge, and being able to SEE. Quite a lot huh, it's what I aspire for! , " sassikass " <sassikass wrote: > > You know, I have been attracted to all different types of stones and > crystals for as long as I remember And some are still SOOO hard for me > to distinguish between others. Guest guest
Dear Sass, It takes a lifetime...even for a geologist. I would say keep your curiosity primed but work with the ones you know and add new ones a few at a time....it is better to know what you are working with then to be all over the place and having to look them up every time you want to carry a stone or do a treatment. The cosmic mission of the various gemstones do have an origin in the chemical makeup of the stone. These physical princibles can or cannot do things based on their elements.......for instance..garnet (or stones with a high iron content) pull us into the realm of gravity and stones with a high lithium content pull us into the realms of levity.....it is just chemistry and physics. I have been a crystal healer for years and while I love love love crystals....the more the merrier, I do not feel I have to know or work with every stone...and I do not feel it makes for the better healer. Know what you have and work with what you know......amd then on the otherhand....sometimes a surprise is nice...and certainly during intuitive times and meditation it is awesome to go with what you feel. Guest guest
Well aren't you so kind...made my day..... the name has served me well and is really mine....although I think it is great to step up and take a name that reflects our growing consciousness...just like we do with crystals...keeps the goelogists on their toes when we cosmic missionaries do this. Guest guest
When I was starting out I would keep them individually in little plastic bags with labels of what they are and their healing properties. They couldn't come out until I knew without reading the tags what they were. I had some that were similar, but I found that after a while I could see the differences. It just takes time. I found it also helped just to review basic geology again and my Crystal Bible is always within reach. I've been wanting to grow some crystals, but just haven't gotten around to it yet. Has anyone? Guest guest
Greetings and Salutations All, Sassi, you can actually look into other science aspects that are not the chemical make-up of the crystal or mineral. There is the MOHS hardness test: http://www.rocksandminerals.com/hardness/mohs.htm. There is also the use of a UV light for fluorescing minerals, and a streak plate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streak_(mineralogy) : http://www.rockhounds.com/rockshop/streak1.html. You can find kits online. Search around for the best price for what you are getting in the kit. Blessings to your day all. Guest guest
Invest in Melody''s " Love is in the Earth " She also has, Picture books to accompany it. It is the quenesential bible of stones. And after you start working with them and holding them. Allowing the energy to become familiar. It gets, easier. I am still finding new stones, to love. I recently purchased a small piece of Agronsite. It is tied to the Earth and helps to ground. It is a tiny stone. But the molecular weight, is very heavy. I love my stones.
