Hi David,

There are still public shelters in Michigan using

gas chambers to kill homeless, injured, or sick animals.

Public outcry will go a

long way to move pending legislation that would end this inhumane

practice once and for all.

Take action today

and help ban the cruel practice of euthanasia by gas chamber »

Euthanizing any animal by means of a carbon monoxide or dioxide gas

chamber is not only severely inhumane to animals, but it is

demoralizing to the human beings who care for them in their final

hours.

Michigan House Bill 4263, the Humane Euthanasia of Shelter Animals Act,

would ensure that when the state's unwanted, sick or unadoptable

shelter animals have to be euthanized, the procedure will only be done

by injection of sodium pentobarbital.

Euthanasia by injection is the only acceptable and

humane means of euthanasia for animals in animal shelters.

Sign the petition

today to support Michigan House Bill 4263, for only the most humane

euthanasia of animals »

Thanks

for making a difference.

It has always been my impression that "evacuation chambers", where oxygen content was slowly reduced were humane, and that the animal simply got drowsy, went to sleep and never woke up. I rescued quite a few animals, which I brought to the ASPCA when I couldn't care for them. This is what they told me. Was I lied to?--- On Tue, 3/30/10, Grannie <GrannieFox wrote:
