The world is also in need of a system of medicine that can treat chronic and degenerative diseases effectively. Ayurveda, though having strong potential, is not adequately appreciated. Well practiced it is extremely effective. If well implemented, it could fulfill the needs of the nation. Ayurveda should not be reduced to being an 'alternative', at least not in its own country.
