I tested negative. But after being pressured by Bergman, ScienceDaily changed the headline (nearly two years after the original publication date) to: "Progression Of SIV Infection In Monkeys Points To Differences Between Human And Simian Forms Of AIDS."That's a fairly radical title change. It repositions the entire store and takes away credibility from anyone who had quoted the story as a piece of evidence dismantling conventional AIDS theories. That was the whole point of pressuring ScienceDaily to change their story, of course.ScienceDaily even engaged in some fairly unusual back-pedaling with an editor's note that was added to the story: "The purpose of the story was NOT meant to suggest that the sudden loss of T cells is not the trigger of AIDS in humans, nor was there any intent to support the erroneous belief that HIV somehow does not cause AIDS. Can I add some common sense here? I am HIV Positive and I see this crap all the

time. Ultimately the responsibility of health lies with the patient. HIV tests

are useful but not the final word. Generally people getting an HIV test are

doing so because they have a known risk and reason to do so. The HIV test itself

may be questionable but to say that the test is evidence of some vast conspiracy

is irresponsible and frankly stupid.

 

I always question the motives of the naysayers too, so you're not innocent

here...you're just spoouting off rhetoric without adding anything useful to the

conversation. Why? I don't think I've ever met a person who takes this hard line

that also is HIV positive. It's pretty real and undeniable to me. I wouldn't

wish it on my worst enemy.

 

I understand medical politics. I think everyone should have a healthly

skepticism of drugs. Just look at the precautions! They cause more issues than

they fix. Anyone taking 3 or more pills can't possibly determine the outcome of

that complex chemical equation when applied to the human body. Well...one

outcome is predictable and that is death. Most medically treated HIV patients

are on three or more drugs...so it's easy to draw the conclusions as to the

outcome. The only thing not predictable is when. But then, that's an issue with

every human being relative to any and everything they eat, drink, smoke and

otherwise inject into their body.

 

I don't take any drugs, but I don't rule it out. I've been HIV positive for 10

years. Had it not been for the HIV test, I would not have known soon enough to

pay attention to the things that have a positive impact on my health. I would

not have had 10 years to research and apply the things that improve my health. I

might not have been able to assume the personal responsibility for fixing the

problem. The fact is may people are unaware they have HIV until they collide

with the onset of opportunistic infections that indicate their immune system is

all but depleted. When that starts, death is generally right around the

corner...not because they don't take the drugs but because they don't take the

personally responsibility to discover and fix the problem.
