Guest guest
Letters Mumbai Newsline Indian Express Mumbai Dear Sir : "Critical H1N1 case delivers dead baby -- Woman on ventilator, cause of child's death not clear" read the banner headline on the front page of Mumbai Newsline, Indian Express (18 August 09). The doctors at Govt.. run Kasturba Hospital of Infectious Diseases do NOT know the cause of death. Either they are ignorant or they are covering up death by Tamiflu. The adverse or side-effects of Tamiflu are -- delirium, hallucination, delusion, disturbances in consciousness, abnormal behaviour and convulsions. Allergic reaction including severe rash, nausea, dizziness are the common reactions. Children under 12 months and pregnant and nursing mothers and those who are allergic to oseltamivir phosphate - the main ingredient - or any other ingredients in Tamiflu should not be given Tamiflu. According to Patricia Doyle, DVM, Ph.D. of the University of West Indies (Ref. Rense.Com), the bizarre contents of Tamiflu are : Tamiflu 75mg Capsules Black iron oxide (E172) Croscarmellose Sodium FD and C Blue 2 (indigo carmine, E132) Gelatin Oseltamivir Povidone Pregelatinised maize starch Red iron oxide (E172) Shellac Sodium Stearyl Fumarate Talc Titanium dioxide (E171) Yellow iron oxide (E172) Tamiflu 12mg/ml Oral Suspension Oseltamivir Saccharin sodium (E954) Sodium benzoate (E211) Sodium dihydrogen citrate (E331 (a)) Sorbitol (E420) Titanium dioxide (E171) Tutti Frutti flavour Maltodextrins (maize) Propylene glycol Arabic gum (E414) Natural identical flavouring substances (mainly consisting of banana, pineapple and peach flavour) Xantham gum (E415) Prescription Medicine Interactions The following medicines may interact with Tamiflu: Chlorpropamide Methotrexate Phenylbutazone It should be investigated what blunders the BMC doctors made in the death of the baby and further endangering the life of a young mother and the family should file damages suit against the BMC and Tamiflu manufacturers, suppliers, distributors (that includes Union ministry of health which promotes this unsafe drug as panacea for Flu). I am of the opinion that instead of closing shopping malls, schools, and other public places in kneejerk reaction, it is the so-called infectious diseases hospitals, where cross infection takes place, that should be shut down and Tamiflu should be banned. There are much better, safer and cheaper Flu medicines in Ayurveda and Homeopathy. Why cannot we have Neem, Tulsi, Ginseng, (or simple Ginger), Garlic and Onion? Amla which contains the highest level of Vitamin C as also Mosambi (sweet lime) and Santra (orange) and simple Nimbu Pani bring immediate relief in Flu. In Homeopathy, as I have already written : we have Arsenic Album 200 -- cold, running nose, cough and feverishness. Gelsemium Sempervirens 200 -- headache, cold, running nose, bodyache. Eupatorium Perfollatum 200 -- bone pain, bodyache. Bellis Perennis 200 -- muscle pain, bodyache. Bryonia Alba 200 -- cold, cough, fever, headache, giddiness. People with Flu, first should NOT panic. Secondly should NOT admit themselves in the infectious diseases hospitals where cross infection takes place and cases worsen and should NOT take Tamiflu, for the reasons cited above. You may contact me for clarification if any, instead of advising readers to take Tamiflu and endangering their lives. Best wishes Dr. Leo Rebello Tel. 91-22-28872741. Cell phone 91-9022805703.
