Guest guest
In addition to my own personal problems following the death of my beloved collie Fly and my partner leaving us, I find that I am almost compelled to dwell upon other peoples problems and grief, feeling it very intensely and unable to get it out of my mind. This could be anything I see or read about, people unknown to me or maybe friends and acquaintances with problems. It doesn't distract me from my own problems, which are disproportionate to reality in my mind just now, but it adds to them. I know its happening but seem unable to stop myself. Can anyone suggest some crystals that can help to protect me from this. Caroline

Guest guest
Hun I would recommend onyx, obsidian,or tourmaline. Really all black crystals are for protection. It's easy to get caught up in others problems the thing is people maybe looking at you as a strong person. Telling you their problem and not helping with yours. I would recommend you have a piece of rose quarts close to your heart. In the bra is good for self love. Call upon Archangel Michael for protection and he can also help You with grief. It's ok to hear other people vent but its hard not to take it all in. I imagine myself incased in a bubble of light or imagine mirrors around myself this way your there for your friends and Hearing them but not letting all the negativity into your body. I hope this helps you,Many Blessings . P.s. With your permission I would be happy to send some healing your way. Hugs and Kisses. ---- murielblackley2 25/04/2008 12:09:21 AM [CrystalHW] Re: Protective crystals ? I don't know about crystals Caroline, but White Chestnut Flower Essence comes to mind. Guest guest
hematite is a good one just to make sure you stay grounded.. helps.. clear quartz helps with clarity of mind mental balance and empathic protection esp if you program that into it. But what i find works the very best for me is when i walk past one of my crystals or stones if they seem to want to go with me that day i take it i don't ask why.. sometimes i give it away but always at the end of the day i find out why that stone or crystal wanted to tag along with me.i sometimes at the end of the day look up the meaning if i dont already know it or have forgotten.. and i go.. ohhhhhh yessss how wise you are.. ole crystal . so let your own intuition be your guide and see what feels right for you.. if ever you just need somebody to talk to feel free to contact me.. candace carolineandfly2 <carolineshipsey wrote: In addition to my own personal problems following the death of my beloved collie Fly and my partner leaving us, I find that I am almost compelled to dwell upon other peoples problems and grief, feeling it very intensely and unable to get it out of my mind. Guest guest
Caroline, I have used snowflake obsidian, and black tourmaline. They are both good. The obsidian really needs to be cleared often. They are great absorbers. You can feel their heaviness, when they need to be cleared. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Sorry All, I need to completely check information. Rechecked black tourmaline and info states it deflects energy. My son's girlfriend's actually feels very heavy to me so it's me or it's not black tourmaline. So sorry. Guest guest
Caroline- > In addition to my own personal problems following the death of my beloved collie Fly and my partner leaving us, I find that I am almost compelled to dwell upon other peoples problems and grief... <snip> Can anyone suggest some crystals that can help to protect me from this. > First and foremost, I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties and pain that you're facing. In terms of stone spirits that might offer some support, there are several that come to mind - less in a protective sense, and more in terms of healing and rebalancing. The first Earth Elder is Kambaba Jasper. These spirits embody a medicine of deep rootedness. When we are unsettled, disconnected or connected in ways that aren't helpful for us, these stone spirits return our attention to our deep roots - to the roots of the soul. They remind us that there is a place within us that is bigger and deeper than all of our challenges and pain, and they proceed to take us there. The spirits of Kambaba Jasper also remind us that it is the tree with the deepest roots that can weather even the worst of storms. They share a medicine with us that helps us to find our sense of rootedness again, to turn to the parts of our wholeness that are bigger and stronger than we'd ever imagine and to grow deep and sustained roots in that bigness and strength. In that way, they remind us of the strength of our soul, and restore balance through rooting. The spirits of Kunzite bring a healing of the heart that happens through a " lifting off " of pain. The medicine of these Earth Elders lightens us by clearer and cleansing the heart so that it's original transparent state is restore, so that it is no longer weighed down unnecessarily. The Kunzite Elders restore our sense of being able to breathe again - to really breath, to remember our freedom, to feel buoyant once again. These stone spirits work with the medicine of water and air, first washing away and then lifting up. In a related way, the spirits of Epidote can offer us profound support in sorting out what is and isn't ours, what we should and shouldn't hold to our heart. At times, as you said, it becomes difficult not to embrace other people's stuff, but these Earth Elders help us to hold stronger boundaries between " mine " and " not mine " , so that we are only walk with what's ours to carry. The boundaries these Elders help us to build are emotional and spiritual in nature. The Epidote crystals stand tall, reaching to connect with all of life, while maintaining very clear and clearly defined edges. When we feel lost, the spirits of Pink Danburite are profound guides for the journey back to self, back to Home. These beautiful, healing Earth Elders help us to remember our soul essence, even when we might have forgotten. Reconnecting to our essential self, to who we really are the deepest and most beautiful levels of being, is an act of self remembering Self, which brings an alignment with our soul that can heal even the deepest of pain. The pain of life can cause us to forget who we are, to lose touch with our beauty and wisdom and joy, and, instead, to see only challenge and struggle and pain. If this goes on long enough, we risk forgetting our beauty altogether, falling into a waking state that's more like a dream, one where we're only surrounded by the presence of pain and images that seem to reflect the difficulties of the dance. Even then the Pink Danburite Elders step forward, taking us gently by the hand, and leading us down a path that takes us home, to our heart, to our soul, to the sacredness that rests at the core of all of us. Lastly, the spirits of Angelite stepped forward as I was listening. These Earth Elders remind us that we are never alone, even when everything around us seems to say otherwise. There are always spirits and Ancestors watching over us, and walking with us. Their help and strength and magic is there, rooted at deep levels and felt in ways that we may not fully recognize or understand. These healing and supportive spirits are always with us, encouraging us and strengthening us and standing for us when we can't stand for ourselves. The Angelite Elders help us to remember this, and, most importantly, to have a clearer emotional awareness of this support, to feel the thousands of hands and hearts that are reaching out to us, always. We are never, ever alone. And finally, though not related to stone spirits, you may look into soul retrieval (by someone duly qualified to performed it). When we experience pain and trauma and loss, our connection with our soul can be compromised. Indigenous people speak about this as losing parts of ourself, and, in that space left by the soul can be filled by many things aren't helpful to us - including the pain and trouble and struggle of others. When we retrieve these lost facets of self, and restore a clear and sustained connection to our soul, we " clean house " and remove all of the stuff that's been filling these places once occupied by our soul, making room for a full return of our essential self, which can bring some profound healing on every level, in every area of our life. When our heart has known great pain, a soul retrieval can be one of the most important, and most healing, things we can do. I hope the above is helpful for you in some way. Good thoughts for you. Guest guest
Fabeku - thank you for your kind words and also for telling about stone spirits that may be helpful to me. I am touched by the depth of your understanding and the explanations. I'm still a newcomer to the whole concept of crystals and/or stones, I have a few tumblestones that I choose from to carry around with me or just to hold and 'feel'. In terms of the crystals or stones that you have mentioned, each would seem to have a quality that is appropriate to my circumstances or mind set, Angelite, Pink Danburite and Kunzite (does the color make any difference ?) are easily obtainable for me, however, Epidote and Kambaba Jasper are not and would need to be ordered via internet etc. Are there specific qualities that I should look for when ordering these ? Also do I need to " do " anything specific with all/any of these stones ? Is just looking at them or holding them enough? Soul retrieval has been mentioned to me by another person previously, and although the concept of it has some appeal I admit to also feeling some fear - what are your thoughts on this Fabeku It would be much appreciated if you have time to reply, Thank you again - Caroline , " Fabeku " <fabeku wrote: > First and foremost, I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties and pain > that you're facing. > > In terms of stone spirits that might offer some support, there are > several that come to mind - less in a protective sense, and more in > terms of healing and rebalancing. > > The first Earth Elder is Kambaba Jasper. Is just looking at them or holding them enough? > If it were me, I'd sit with them quietly, with an open heart. I'd share my situation with them, telling them what's going on, just as you'd tell a dear friend or trusted Elder. Ask them for their help, and for the capacity to see and recognize and receive that help. I'd also make some offerings both at the beginning and end, and, ideally, each day as well. Offerings were discussed in a recent thread, and more information can be found there. The stone spirits could be carried with you each day. The more consciously you carry them, the better. " Check in " with them throughout the day - touching them, speaking to them, acknowledging their presence, thanking them for their help, etc. Alternately, or additionally, you could set up a small space for these Elders in your home. A shrine or altar space, or just a quiet place to spend time with them in whatever way inspires you the most. You could also carry them into dreaming with you at night - placing them beside the bed, or in a pouch that hangs near your head while you sleep. What we're really talking about here is cultivating relationships with these spirits, honoring them as Elders and seeking their support in a good way. The dance of developing relationships with the Earth Elders is, in many ways, the same as developing a relationship with anyone else. The more time we spend investing in that relationship, the deeper the roots of that relationship become. Honoring the stones as spirits, and sitting with them with an open heart, opens some unimaginable doors. > Soul retrieval has been mentioned to me by another person previously, and although the concept of it has some appeal I admit to also feeling some fear - what are your thoughts on this Fabeku > I've done soul retrieval work with people for ten years, and it's not at all uncommon for someone to feel a bit fearful at the start. However, in my experience, there is nothing to fear. Soul retrieval is a path to healing, at a deep level. It leads us to the medicines of wholeness, balance and goodness. It makes us MORE! in every way. I have seen some amazing transformations when people undertake soul retrieval, which is why I personally believe it's one of the most powerful and important roads anyone can explore. The soul's natural inspiration is to move toward wholeness. Soul retrieval beautifully supports that dance. > Thank you again Anytime. I hope what I've shared is somehow helpful for you. Guest guest
hi folks, sorry if this is in an odd place been having probs with the pcs in a new web cafe....a bit stressed..has anyone seen vista? arrrgh.....anyway I would like to tell you all about my Tiger's Eye.A few nights ago I was holding it in my hand when it began to glow, a small point of light which grew bigger and bigger, brighter and brighter...then it started to fad and went out then it stood up in my hand! I got the sense it was smiling, felt some kind of " grandmother " enegry in it, and saw a shape in it, a bit frog like in appearance. Then I felt it liked the music I was playing and let it dance in my hand...
