There is yellow, honey, golden, lemon and I am sure any other color of yellow someone wants to " deem " the color because it reminds them of that particular shade of yellow. Honey calcite is yellow going into browns resembling the color of honey. I have some terminated yellow calcite that could be viewed as lemony in color. It is great for the third (solar plexus) chakra. I have literally had yellow calcite knock the wind out of me when I have picked it up. I have a huge yellow calcite sphere (6.75 " diameter). It is translucent. I have it on a light box and when lit gives impressions of the full moon. Due to internal fractures, I can turn it and have one side lit brighter then the other and somewhat resembling the half moon phase. For general healing properties look up calcite, and then see if that book also lists color breakdown (I would look at yellow calcite). Melody does then go into additional properties of the various colors. Calcite overall is a great chakra stone (at least for me). Blessings to your day all. Guest guest
Hi ReNau, At 15:22 30/03/2008, you wrote: >Calcite comes in many shades .... including many shades just in the " yellow " >family ... Oh, thank you so much for this -- it is all very helpful and much appreciated! Reading up on calcite, I can understand why I'd currently be so drawn to a lemony/yellow variety of the stone (usually it's blue or green calcite that attracts me). I may just go back and get that piece next week after all! Thanks again, and many blessings, Heather -- Heathwitch http://www.heathwitch.com heathwitch
