I would also add to your diet an herb such as dandelion which is a liver tonic. If the liver is sluggish it could affect the bowels. Herbs like senna fix the problem temporarily but are not the cure, unless the situation isn't chronic. Causes of chronic constipation can be poor health, sluggish liver (usually accompanied with prescription medication), stress, and anxiety. If you have some form of anxiety and are not taking prescription drugs for it, I would consider taking an herb like valerien. So I guess I should ask, what do you believe is the cause of the constipation? I had a temporary bought with it when I altered my diet to include more protein. It wasn't extreme but I wasn't even meeting my minimum protein requirements. Suzanne Nottmeier <suziesgoats wrote:

Debi,

Sorry about being so brief earlier.... I'm in Illinois and we were hit with really severe weather... lost power for a bit... thank goodness we missed the tornados, high winds and damaging hail.. got some wind and hail and a lot of rain---a couple inches in about a hour... but it has somewhat calmed down.. anyway,

What is your diet consist of?

Avoid constipating foods and drinks, such as white flour, cheese, fried foods, sweets, salt, beef, pasteurized milk, all junk food, wine, carbonated drinks, and coffee. Certain berries with a large amount of seeds, such as strawberries, huckleberries, raspberries and blackberries, should be avoided, too, as they have a tendency to constipate.

Prune juice is good... and a juice fast would probably help also. The intestinal cleanse #1 in the files would also be good.

Most of us make our own formulas... order the herbs, etc... I believe the Vitamin Shoppe

http://www.supervitaminoutlet.com/

on line is a good source... I've heard some talk about them... hopefully others on here will be able to tell you something...

There are herbs which help to counteract the damage. Echinacea along

with other immune strengthening herbs work very well. If there is

any immunity left to work with, Echinacea even in very small dosages

will help reverse the damage. On the other hand if you received

multiple treatments you may need to use it to the max.

I used 25 to 30 or more drops of Enzymatic Therapy's liquid. These

supplements are superb! Also Barleygreen drinks (containing SOD) and the

medicinal mushrooms work along these same lines to strengthen immune

capabilities.

The chemo that is prescribed now is horrendous and if they consider

you terminal, they will give you something that completely destroys

your internal organs (with the caregivers consent of course!)

Of this I am certain! I am acquainted with someone who although

their cancer was diminished (liver mass - 50%, and completely

disappeared from the heart valves) was administered this type of

irreversible deadly cocktail. So much for allopathic

medicine's " effectiveness " .

Thanks JoAnn. I am taking a product now which is soy based and total food. I

can drink it up to six times a day and if I make " smoothies " , it is like a meal.

I only do this twice with the banana and strawberry.

I am building up for surgery in June for takedown of a colostomy. I feel pretty

wonderful since stopping the chemo and getting detoxifying. I have added lemon

water to help with the alkalininity and seem to have totally lost interest in

any meat products.

I appreciate the info on echinachea (I do have it here).

Although I would not want to discourage you from eating fermented

soy (miso, etc), I would be very careful with those soy shakes. Many

of them include soy protein isolate which is genetically engineered.

I believe that " shaklee " offers a good non-gmo soy shake. They say

that fermented varieties are considerably more bioavailable, but

then the correct diet also depends on whether you have a " hormone

dependent " cancer. The best approach would be to follow a diet free

of processed foods, sugar and other adrenal stressors, although I

certainly would not limit my fresh organic fruits, for they are a

fabulous source of cancer suppressing nutrients. It would be good to

include more spinach (fresh or frozen) berries and other high

antioxidant foods in your diet. Did you know that strawberries are

genetically engineered also? Blueberries make a good substitute

although raspberries are beneficial specifically for women. Pinto

beans are actually better than soybeans for correcting hormonal

imbalances. I try to include them in my daily diet in some form or

another.

God Bless, JoAnn

I am definitely doing free of processed foods, sugar. a

Since I have had the resect, spinach does not digest at all and I have to be

shakes are a food product. include more spinach (fresh or frozen) berries and

Most of my fruit is organic and comes from places I have shopped for a long

time.

Thanks for your note. Karima

Hi and welcome, I'm in Scotland. A good starter book for crystals

and animals is Crystal Healing for animals by Martin Scott & Gael

Mariani.
