Guest guest
I will start with this....no intention to offend, just my opinion. Reiki is wonderful on its own as are crystals for healing. You asked: " SO why mix them? " ........ Well for me it is a matter of adding another form, or aspect, of the healing ray of energy to a situation/condition/etc. to help it be resolved. It is all healing energy. It all comes from the same source. So for me it isn't necessarily mixing modalities. It is a matter of what tool I choose to use to help me, or my client, to make the connection that I, or they, need to put themselves in a place of balance and healing. So it may seem that we are adding a bit of this and that to get the result that we, or the client, are expecting. But it is just a matter of which tools we are choosing to use to help with healing. And if you wish to look at it as different modalities, then..... By putting all modalities together we are just creating a specific spectrum of healing energy for those who need something a bit more customized to " their needs " . And maybe it will be a bit more complex than what I/you feel is needed, but the " healer " has to keep in mind that everyone is different and their needs for healing are not the same as mine/yours/the " healer's " and they need it to fit their needs, not necessarily the " healer's " beliefs on what is right for them. Belief and faith play a big part in how, and which of, the healing modalities are received and if the person will let healing take place. It just is not just the intent of the " healer " who is channeling this healing energy, but also the intent of the person who is seeking the healing energy. It just isn't the tools that the " healer " prefers, but also the tools that the client prefers. Sometimes people do not believe that one form will work for them. Sometimes they need a specific modality, a specific energy ray, to help them heal, or a variety of specific energy rays. For me, Reiki is a very gentle, general healing ray. It can heal if you let it. There is no condition that it is not good for. Crystals have healing rays and they differ for a variety of reasons, one basic one is color. Color therapy has been used with very good results. But sometimes once the colors needed are balanced there is still other work that just the color energy waves do not seem to help the specific client with. Crystals are also know to work in very specific ways for people; though not the same for everyone. So I may be able to use the iolite- sunstone crystal to detox and help with getting rid of the " high " associated with alcohol and drugs for one person, and for another it may not work. Again, this is based on the belief that is held in the person using and receiving the energy of the crystals not just the energy of the crystal itself. In other words, people block that aspect of that particular crystal from helping them because that is something they are not ready to heal. Sometimes I think it may be a chemical makeup of the person and how that reacts to the crystal being used. So in this instance Reiki would help because it can get to the issue at the heart of the reason why they are not letting the healing in from the crystal. I do not think that the main reason for mixing modalities is to get something done fast. But that isn't to say that is not why some people do it. You asked: " Who takes responsibility for what happens when the physical, emotional, mental, and the spiritual bodies can not cope with the issues that come to hand so hard and fast? " " Do we carry on with the same technique of healing or do we change to something else? " Communication is the answer. The client has to let the " healer " know how things are going during the treatment/healing session. Is something too intense? If it is then the healer needs to not let ego in and change how things are being done so that it is a gentler process. Not everyone can benfit from an aggressive healing session. For some, a gentler, longer term approach is needed. And for those type of people, if you continue to be aggressive, they will not return for anymore help. As with any good " healer " , no matter the modality they are in, listening to their client is key. And that often means reading the " signs " --facial expressions, body language, to determine how to help their client. The healer can also let the client know what to expect, or what some people have experienced, to ease the fears of the client. You asked: " Then what do we do with the client or animal or for those that have past over, for their after care till you see them again, thats if they come back. " For some they give the person who came for the healing treatment session a crystal. For some it is one that the client was drawn most too, for others it is a clear quartz as it is good for everything. Many also Reiki their crystals or attune them to Reiki so that the crystal can continue to send Reiki to the individual while they are not at a healing/treatment session. In that way, if they do not come back the Reiki is still there for them to call upon when they are ready. For others they keep that individual on a Reiki List so that when the person is ready they will receive the help they need to heal. You can't force anyone to heal. People have to work through things at their own pace. You can tell the client how many more treatments you would suggest. Or, as some Reiki Masters do....teach and attune clients to Level 1 so that they can continue helping themselves at home. But in the end, it is up to them to work through all that is needed so that they are able to let themselves heal. I know I didn't even address other healing modalities, just the two that were mentioned. But that does not change that I view all healing modalities as a specific healing energy ray, combined or not with other healing modalities, they still have their place in healing. How does a practitioner justify giving a mixed treatment when a person comes for a particular treatment whether it be Pranic,Crystal Healing, Reiki, etc? And asks for one modality and one modality only. Not so long ago I and some of my colleagues were invited to attend a gathering where there would be all sorts of modalities and scientific things happening, it was agreed upon at the beginning of the meeting that at the conclusion of the talks etc, that there would be Reiki Healing for those who wish to have/experience, what a nice way I thought to end the day, great I'll be in was my words to a fellow friend. There were about a dozen tables set up, and off we all go, the table that I was working at, we had 6 practitioners working on a lady, {there was 4-6 people at each table doing Reiki at one time} Lovely I thought once again, nice big Reiki blanket low and be hold one lady decided to start putting some Crystals around and on the body and a man decided to do some Pranic healing while the rest of us had our hands on doing Reiki. The lady on the table had quite a major healing crisis with out going into it, some of the other practitioners at the table stepped back as they were quite frighten and the two that started the whole issue - Crystal lady & Pranic man stood there and did not no what to do. Thankfully There were some Flower Essence Practitioners still there and they administered these to her while a few of us continued to give her Reiki. What happen in that room that day managed to stop everyone at the Reiki tables and the sceptic's that were there became even more sceptical. The 2 in question were taken away an spoken to, as for the lady, she was very nice and thanked everyone that was left she voiced that had she known that people were going to do other modalities while she was on the table, she would never have gotten on. She said in the past she has had, Pranic ,Crystals and Reiki, Healing on there own but never together, and she hopes she is never put in this situation again. What I find sad about the whole thing, was it put people off Crystal Healing, Pranic and Reiki, where these 3 modalities have brilliant healing abilities when used in the right situation. I have to laugh about a week later my sister contacted me and her words were what the hell happen at that conference, everyone is talking about it here in my department at the university, she said you wounder why I don't do some of the things you suggest for my health.
