SPRING STONES

In a little over a week, the Medicine Wheel will be turning East (at

least for those of us in the Western hemisphere). Now is the time to

be preparing Spring Ceremonies and Rituals to welcome this magical

season of awakening.

 

To help stir your imagination, I am sharing a list of stones that I

have used successfully in honoring and utilizing the energies of the

East and Air. Please use this list as a starting point, be open to

other crystals or gems that may also evoke Spring's energies in you.

 

Air is the element I honor in the East. This is a good time to take

in new teachings. Open new doors, either spiritually or in the way

you live your physical life. Begin new projects. It is a time to

plant seeds and nourish fertile thoughts that can become action and

reality as your Life continues to turn.

 

Clear away negative thought patterns or habits that have been

building up during the dark Winter months. Let the brightening day

illuminate your path and guide you towards your higher good. Learn

the innocence of trust, lose your fear of the truth. Learn to see

beyond the limitations our minds create and envision yourself as the

awesome human you really are.

 

This is the list of gems and crystals that I have used in personal

ceremonies or medicine bags to honor Spring.

 

Rose Quartz - Your success is dependent on your ability to love

yourself; no other crystal is so gentle a teacher and guide through

this lesson. This crystal companion will keep your heart open and

loving against the adversity of mundane life. Besides its rosy pink

color reminds me of all the new life and beginnings Spring brings.

 

Aventurine - Green is a great Spring color, especially if you plan to

use planting energies to begin a new money making project. Aventurine

will stimulate opportunities and strengthen your leadership skills.

Use it to inspire your creativity, especially if you are caught in

the Winter doldrums.

 

Bloodstone - The fertile greens in this stone will feed your courage

to tackle new opportunities. The reds will light your passion, giving

you the motivation to follow through with plans. Are you going to use

Spring's birthing energies to begin a business built on your talents?

This is the companion stone to carry with you. Bloodstone will feed

your imagination and your pocket book.

 

Quartz - There is no other crystal or stone more recognized as a

teacher and communicator than the Quartz Crystal. If you are using

Spring energies to start a new spiritual walk, bring along Quartz

point. Allow the Crystal to guide you towards people, tools and

beginnings that will lead to your greatest potential.

 

Citrine - An excellent stone for honoring Grandfather Sun, as Spring

heralds His brightest days. Use the growing energies of Grandfather

to fertilize your growing ideas, spirituality, even abundance. This

Quartz crystal is perfect for building and maintaining wealth.

 

Tourmaline - Clear away those negative thoughts. They are holding you

back. Your thoughts create your reality; now is the time to begin

planting the seeds that will grow a better tomorrow for you.

Tourmaline can stimulate your imagination, so that you can visualize

where you want to go. Open your eyes to greater possibilities.

 

Aquamarine - I love to use blue in honoring Spring energies. The feel

of fresh Spring Air, when you can finally stand beneath Father Sky

without the burden of a coat, it's energizing. Aquamarine is a

wonderful spiritual tool as well. It will aid in clearing cluttered

thoughts, a mental Spring cleaning. This crystal will also keep you

moving towards your goal, once you've started.

 

Blue Lace Agate - Another favorite blue of mine. This member of the

Quartz family is also a patient teacher. The layers of Blue and Milky

Quartz can lead you to higher dimensions. It will assist you in

achieving a successful harvest from the seeds you plant this Spring.
