Guest guest
I love the herks energy. I feel like its very strong and vibrant. My fiance and I went last April to NY and picked our own and had a HUGE BLAST. I was nice to adopt them out of the ground, and I feel a real connection to the ones we brought home. I am always stunned by them. ~Lori In a message dated 2/23/2008 1:03:10 P.M. Guest guest
I have a beautiful one, but really only slept one night with it under my pillow. And I must admit I had some very powerful dreams and celestial travel from what I remember. Thanks for bringing it up, think I'll experiment some more soon. - tallblackcats Saturday, February 23, 2008 6:52 AM [CrystalHW] HERKIMER DIAMONDS Hi there, I'm interested in Herkimer Diamonds, and anyones experiences with them and what they think, rather than what is written in books. Guest guest
I love Herkimer's. I like to program small ones with Reiki and give them to people. They hold it very well. When I use the Mind symbol, I put a blessing within it. To me the energy is wonderful. Guest guest
Hi Tall Black Cat, I've recently become very interested in Herkimer Diamonds too. I came across a handful of tiny (probably 1 mm to 4 mm) ones recently and put them in a little glass bowl and have been doing experiments with them. If I clear the bowl of crystals with sound, then I can use the bowl of Herkies to clear other stones. If I want to magnify a stone's energy, I place it in the bowl of Herkies. Lately, I've been experimenting with grids, using the bowl of Herkimers with a clear quartz point standing up in the middle as the center of the grid and it's amplified the energy of the grid considerably. Right now, I have it set up with 6 Lemurian quartz points pointed inward and a plain old clear quartz standing up in the bowl of Herkies in the middle. It's been set up for 24 hours, but the clear quartz in the middle is starting to show the ridges typical of a Lemurian quartz. I'm going to leave it for a week and I'll let you all know what happens. - Amy On Sat, Feb 23, 2008 at 3:52 AM, tallblackcats <pinkpigsflynorth wrote: > Hi there, > > I'm interested in Herkimer Diamonds, and anyones experiences with them > and what they think, rather than what is written in books. > > Cheers, > Tall Black Cat > > >

Guest guest
Presently I am visiting the finger lakes, doing a medicine wheel small grid using herkimers and gifting the lake with a herkimer elixir mixed with waters from Lourdes and Glastonbury. After intention for clearing the lake and bringing health to all that touch the waters, I close and while leaving throw a herkimer into the lake without looking back. My plan is to revisit the lakes once I have mixed the waters and incorporated my crystal bowls sounds and the solfeggio notes I will again gift the lakes with the newer elixir and finish off with the herkimer. We are fortunate having our own herkimer claim but these are very powerful crystals and will work to amplify all intention and will link energies between chakras. My wife is always passing them out after carrying them for awhile and she believes that she is creating a living grid that when activated can connect all the folks who have been part of this seeding... qrtrmare <kinada_48 wrote: i love using grids.. what are you doing with them if you dont mind me asking? candace Amy Milder <amymilder wrote: Hi Tall Black Cat, I've recently become very interested in Herkimer Diamonds too. Guest guest
What a good thought creating a living grid i really like that.. if you don't mind i am going to pass that thought along to others? my husband and i went to herkimer new york and found a few a very few as they are kind of like butterfly's the harder i looked for them the less i found but when i stood still and looked i did find a few tiny treasures....lol . i treasure them and am so reluctant to give them away but when they must go they must i gave the largest one i had away to a boy who i just know needed it,not sure why but it just felt right. When i go to fairs that i sell some of my little felted bags and stones at i always toss a handful of small crystals and stones back to Mother Earth i can imagine children or somebody who needs them finding them. What your doing really feels good. Thank you for sharing... would your wife like to trade a herkimer for a little felted bag? candace robert dunkel <rjdunkel wrote: Presently I am visiting the finger lakes, doing a medicine wheel small grid using herkimers and gifting the lake with a herkimer elixir mixed with waters from Lourdes and Glastonbury. I have heaps of Herkimer Diamonds, and have just finished making a necklace with them and Turquoise, last year I made a H/D and Tourmaline necklace. Have had heaps of people wantng to know where they can get the necklaces from. The crystal wholesaler that I deal with had heaps and heaps of H/D's made up as bracelets, I bought most of them. They had been drilled so I put them into some Rescue Remedy essence for about a week, they are all happy and healed. I just love em. Have a great day, Tall Black Cat. Guest guest
HI Robert, I totally agree with your wife! Myy expereince has is that when parting with those who have come to me for healing or classes, I usually gift them with a crystal to seal the healing and protect them from the onslaught of lower energies. I make the intention that I am setting with these crystals known to them and the results is that I am seeing where the energy that we have created in agreement together is compounded and linked with others to create an ever enlarging grid of high vibrational energies and manifestation of abundant blessings for the highest good of all. Oh and btw I love Herkimers too, they are among my favorites. You are indeed blessed to have your own claim. Guest guest
I can give you information, we went (my fiance and I) in April last year the first day they were open, there were TONS of crystals everywhere to pick right off the ground. We also painstakingly dug through the dolomite. Its hard work but if you tap the rock to find a pocket and dig, you may get lucky like we did. I can send you pictures off the group, if anyone wants and I can also give you a great B & B to stay. We went to crystal grove and for $8 a person, we came back with 2 5lb buckets full of crystals we picked off the ground and a handful we actually dug out of the dolomite. It was the most fun I have ever had!! Like treasure hunting!! LOL Lori In a message dated 2/26/2008 10:45:58 P.M. Guest guest
I say this in a loving way...you do not dig Herkimer diamonds, that's the mistake my husband made he thought it would be like when we went to Arkansas to dig for crystals.. Herkimers live in rocks..you have to hammer them out or at least we had to.. its very hard work.We werent lucky enough to find a vein of them. I felt that the hard work.. just made it so wonderful when we found even a tiny one. I loved it.. my husband whos not very into Crystals just kept saying its not like Arkansan. And even though he promised we could stay all day and come back the next day we only stayed 5 hours and he refused to go back.I know you might think thats a long time but.. i felt as one with the rocks and mud and hammering. and hated to go and yes for him it was ages but for me just a moment... But we did find about 20 small beauties that are very special to me, but half of those i did find on the ground in the mud. Best to go after a rain.. There are several mines in Herkimer New York that are fairly close together so you could try more than one.. we only went to one but. i would gladly go back i thought it fun... But than i knew how they grow and like to hide in Rocks and that i wouldnt be digging for them but hammering.... i loved it... I wish I had the time to say let's go road trip it, Martha!! I looked it up on the map. My uncle used to live in Ithaca, so I know that's a good 12-13 hour trip, at least that's how long it took when I drove my grandma up to see him in high school. Guest guest
Hi Martha, It's not really digging per se... they like to grow inside the rocks... it's more like hammering for herks. haha! I will forward some sites to you later (my links are at home). There are many places along the I90 near Herkimer, NY. That would be really neat if you could join us... won't be for a while... my bf just had back surgery. Doesn't look like I will get coming your way anytime soon. Best wishes! Guest guest
I haven't looked it up, but I drove to St. Johnsbury, VT in '06 to visit Dog Mountain and didn't mind the drive and it was about 13 hours. Guest guest
Well, I guess my three good diggers wouldn't be much help then--unless they can chew them out of the rocks! I'm not sure which sounds harder--digging or hammering. Do you just whack the rocks with a hammer or is it more delicate--like, you'd use a chisel and hammer on it? --Martha qrtrmare <kinada_48 I say this in a loving way...you do not dig Herkimer diamonds, that's the mistake my husband made he thought it would be like when we went to Arkansas to dig for crystals.. Guest guest
some of them are just in the dirt.. in fact all you have to do is watch for the sparkle.. and a few you can dig around in the dirt for if your lucky but the mine we went to you had to use a hammer.. a hammer and a chisel a sledge hammer. Some i did just Whack away at.. and when i would find a rock that looked like it might hold one i was more careful.... the place we went to you could rent different tools to dig with.. i think they cost about $8.00 a day.. As i said i enjoyed it. esp when i found one hidden in a rock i had to work so hard to get out... but i also found some just on the path.. as it had rained a few days earlier.. A friend of mine had told me to take tobacco and offer up a blessing to the earth that i might find something lovely and i did exactly what she told me and low and behold the woman walking close to me found a really lovely large one.. it made me smile because what she told me to do worked just not for me as i did find a few very lovely ones but not quite like this woman found.. so take tobacco and make sure nobodies behind you when you toss it on the ground.. smile.. have fun its a new experience.. i enjoyed it.. Just my husband was spoiled as in Arkansas all we had to do if look around on the ground and we found so many quartz.. he expected it to be like that.. i knew it wasnt.. so if you go knowing what its like you will have fun..they are lovely mines.. and the people i met were very nice as well and always happy to show me there finds.. candace Martha Kuhn <weimlady wrote: Well, I guess my three good diggers wouldn't be much help then--unless they can chew them out of the rocks!
