Guest guest
Hello and Welcome!! Personally i use three types of sage to smudge with, Mexican, Russian and what I call Purple Sage. When I create my smudging sticks, I vary the how I weave the sage, some are with all three kinds, others with two combined kinds and so on, it all depends on the family/home what depicts which I smudge with. Most often I use the sweet mexican. I am sure that there are many ideas floating around out there, Its quite possible that you could develope your own version of smudging. Be well........ and peace. si`la , " Barbara " <bardell wrote: > > Hi there Group. Guest guest
in addition to my post... From reading other posts, I guess there is all kinds of different sages to use. I don't know if they fall into the " nick name " category that I mentioned in my last post or if they are different. Either way, go with what feels right to you. Guest guest
Hi, My favortie is white sage but most common is desert sage......and then you can mix it with cedar, juniper, sweetgrass, lavender, yerba santa, rosemary, rose, pinon pine and tobacco.....really whatever suits your needs. Different tribes used what was available and in this day and age all is. Some are to bring in sweet loving energy, some to clear spirits, and some to purify....this is being general but the key is to work with what the spirit moves you to work with. Guest guest
Dawn, I have some grandfather sage--is that white sage, or another type altogether? This is all new to me Cindy P.S. Hope everyone enjoys the full moon and the eclipse tonight! My crystals bathed in the bright moonlight last night, and decided they would like to experience the eclipse before coming in again . . . , Dawn Silver <DawnSilver wrote: > > Hi, > My favortie is white sage but most common is desert sage......and then you can mix it with cedar, juniper, sweetgrass, lavender, yerba santa, rosemary, rose, pinon pine and tobacco.....really whatever suits your needs.
