I got involved with a phone call with a web company helping us to make our website more up to date... and really got lost in the questions and excitement. Then I thought we would go on Saturday before we went to the airport as I thought we left to come home late Saturday but our reservations were to leave at 12:45 PM instead... and on Friday we had to finish up and shrink wrap our pallets... so we got lost in Tucson Time and missed the main event which I heard was incredible. Oh well... next year I will plan differently. On the positive side.. I have already reserved the same condo as this year.. which was great. It had a 2 car garage where we could put our pallets and get everything ready for a safe return to Washington. I was sad to leave it to come home! No matter how much time you have in Tucson, it seems to never to be enough. I was there three weeks and still didn't get to some of the shows I have not been to... mainly the fine gems and jewelry shows. There is a huge burn out factor where after a few days everything starts looking the same. Just imagine dozens of tables filled with Polished Quartz Points... some of it gets downright boring... and then you see tables and tables of " junk " being mis-treated and ignored... then you see tents full of rugs and carpets... then some Morocco dealer with stuff you couldn't care less about but you just have to look to make sure there isn't a " diamond in the rough " there. It was funny... my son came down for 5 days.. and passed out every night. :-) It is exhausting buying crystals! Guest guest
Hiyas everyone, Tucson time does seem to fly...even when one is sick as I've found out. Spent one day at the show, another day visiting some of my dad's friends and another with some other friends. And the last two days before I head back home sick. ::sigh:: Naer fun. Take care, hope you enjoyed the show... Lynn , John Van Rees <john wrote: > > > > > >What happened that you missed the main event??
