sugulite vs charolite

Peggy I have only even seen sugilite that is opaque. I have not seen any

that is translucent. Do you by chance a piece like this that you could post a

picture?

Is there an easy way to tell sugulite from Charolite.. i have been looking at

both and find it hard to tell.. i know that Charolite comes from Russia.. but

they both look so much the same to me.. help..

The Charoite I've seen has pearlecent swirls mixed in with the rich

deep lavender. The Sugulite can be translucent or opaque but does not

have the pearly swirls
